YIKES Song stuck in your head: this has kind of been on a mental loop all day... i dont actually love the song as much as i used to (mainly bc i’ve lost my taste for the intro/outro) but that section (and the whole midsection really) definitely still holds up Last Show I watched: twd but not even the latest episode yet bc i was sick and also i am very lazy Dream Job: if i could spend my whole life working with snakes that would be gr9 If you could be anywhere right now where would it be? with @jariimaenpaa at a ghost concert!!! :)

don't think about him telling carol that he can't die in a hospital. don't think about carol bringing him home knowing there's nothing else she can do for him. don't think about sophia laying by his side reading him little stories she wrote for class projects. don't think about him quietly falling asleep one night, carol holding his hand and knowing the exact moment he left. don't think about her breaking down and repeating his last words to her over & over-- "I love you." (WHAT HAVE I DONE)

but really don’t think about shane going into remission and him being fine until a few years down the road, until sophia goes away to college. and the first thing the doctor tells him is that it’s spread so much there’s noting they can do for him. and he hides it for as long as he can, he keeps it from everyone. from carol, from rick, from lori, from everyone he knows until rick and carol and lori sit him down and say we know and he doesn’t want to tell sophia because he doesn’t want to derail her life and sophia calls him and she can just tell in his voice that he’s not doing well and shane can’t lie to her and he tells her everything and he dies that night when sophia’s driving home and i’m in tears w t f

okay but i am imagining it with shane and carol and I'm imagining him being so goddamn frustrated the sicker he gets and carol preserving through his mood swings and constantly arguing with him because "shane, please, you need to be in a hospital" and shane being embarrassed at how weak he is and honestly once carol got him to a hospital he'd barely let the nurses touch him, he'd only trust carol, carol is the only one allowed to see him that vulnerable I'M UPSET.
