jason todd doesn’t drink alcohol, does drug, or smokes after his death.

(i know it goes against canon) while i love the idea of pre-death jason smoking cigarettes, i think after dying from asphyxiation he stops smoking because the feeling brings back the memories of his death.

he also doesn’t drink because he’s scared he’ll act like Willis, and doesn’t do drugs because it reminds him of Cathrine.

i love my little traumatized boy.

ohhhhh i do like this. very big fan of him choosing not to partake in those things because he's seen addiction in his parents and those closest to him as a child. i've never seen the take of him not smoking specifically because of his death though.

i like to think that he has a very conflicted mindset when it comes to addiction, especially with the way he's forced to be around it still, in his line of work.

i think he has immense empathy for the addicts he helps and comes across, and doesn't blame them for their circumstance, extremely understanding of how it's very often out of the addict's control. i also think he feels the same way about his mother, and wouldn't ever wish ill upon her for the way she ended up.

however, in his mind, i think he largely manages to keep away from it all because he's convinced that if he got addicted to something, it would be his fault. he thinks that he knows better, and would never forgive himself for 'letting' it happen, if he did.

i think a lot of this might also extend to his father, who jason may also believe to have been responsible for his own substance abuse. mainly i believe he thinks this way because he saw his father as the leader of his household growing up, and saw how he could be strong and loving. i think jason saw that as the responsibility willis owed to them. so i believe he would blame him for his alcoholism, as he pretty much surrendered his responsibility as a family man.

very much 'i refuse to turn out like my father' behaviour from jason, not drinking not just out of fear, but a twinge of spite, to prove that he's a better man.

always very conflicted with jason and his views on substance use though. there's also a part of me that sees him as the type to get into drinking especially, because it's all that ever came of the men he grew up around, and he believes that he's destined for it too.

Sewis + Florist AU & Poorly Timed Confession

Oh this sounds so fun!!!

I'd probably have Seb be the florist, with Lewis maybe being a fashion designer and he likes to have vases of flowers to decorate his apartment. Lewis notices that the latest batch of flowers that his assistant has had delivered to the apartment are ever so slightly different from the last - the previous florist probably closed down meaning flowers had to be sourced from somewhere else which is where Seb comes in.

Lewis ends up loving the new bouquets so much that he ends up paying Seb a visit just to meet him and they talking and become friends and it turns into weeks of Seb also providing flowers for Lewis' office and Lewis taking inspiration from some of the flowers for his designs and multiple shared cups of tea and coffee and one day while in Sebastian's florist shop Lewis unintentionally blurts out 'I love you' while Seb is trimming stems and he ends up cutting his finger.

(He ends up being absolutely fine, of course. And they kiss when Seb is washing his hand in the sink in the back).
