Giles is doing so well on his new daily asthma medicine. Like my own asthma meds, it will be lifelong, but I’m able to get the cheaper bronchodilator called theophylline that’s also recommended for pets. You can get it on chewy, they contact your vet to confirm the RX. Giles is no longer wheezing and has a lot more energy.
Hey, here’s a Weaver update!
As told in this post, Weaver spent 5 days in ICU due to a flare up of his chronic renal failure. He’s doing much better on an adjusted medication dose, although it means I’m having to med him up 4 times a day.
But both cats in our house are spoonies; Quincy belongs to our room mate and he has myotrophic cardiomyopathy, e.g. a thickened heart wall. He too is in and out of the hospital while his momma tries to find the right medicine balance.
Here is Weaver sniffing Quincy non stop for five minutes after the latter returned from the hospital last week.

When you have a conversation with yourself at home about how little spoons you have that day and it comes out as incoherent mumble jumble; as if you made up your own language and your cat is the only one home to witness your madness.
good morning from me and munchkin, who started the day by knocking my meds off the counter and then took a 6-hour nap like she worked a double shift.
meanwhile i woke up feeling like i fell down stairs in my sleep and still called it “doing okay.”
she’s thriving. i’m surviving. it’s a vibe.
