My next prints and patches I'll be posting this Friday (3/25) are for my fellow spoonies!!! Inspired by a friend and I talking about when you're out of or low on spoons and just want everyone to LEAVE YOU ALONE!!!

The spoons theory was created by Christine Miserandino, who wrote the above article! It struck a chord with many people (myself included) who are chronically ill, mentally ill, have chronic pain, or are disabled and use spoons as a measurement/record of the limited energy we have and spend to complete tasks thru out the day and energy it takes to just LIVE!!!

These 4x6 sew-on patches are hand printed on upcycled t-shirt material adhered to a second layer of black fabric backing to make them more durable and easier to sew!

Prints will be available in rainbow, printed in oil paint; or black, printed in water based ink! Patches will be available in limited quantity, and everything will be posted in my shop on Friday (3/25)!!!

Did some ink and watercolour today, thinking about the twilight sky last night. I'm having a rough pain day, my knee snapped out of joint without warning, and I'm researching unsettling stuff for grad school. It's really hard to read about missionaries deliberately destroying Native cultures and peoples in the name of their own salvation. When it hit critical mass, I decided to paint and try to get it all out. I find colour work really soothing, for some reason.
