This is a great visual of the skeletal system in Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Because our collagen is faulty and we are more lax, and we lack proprioception to know where our body is in space, our joints kind of slide around all willy nilly way beyond the normal range of motion. It takes us more energy to hold our bodies together than the average person, and fatigues us. This is also one reason we have a lot of muscle spasms, our muscles try to help the ligaments keep those joints where they're supposed to be. Also, a lot of people who have EDS have no idea that this isn't normal, because for them it is, as we are born with it. I made this from a t-shirt add. The more you know.... #spooniesiren
