I’m really impatient when I write. I’ll always try to skip to the “good” part of the story when I’m writing, and that makes my stories choppy and way too short. Any tips for writing good “filler” stuff? Or making time-skips seem less choppy and intentional?

1. Skip to the good part. Finish your story. CONGRATULATIONS, now you have a first draft.

2. Fix it. If you can’t see the cracks, find a cp who can (er, maybe the person whose writing question I just answered in basically the same way!)

2. Practice. I wrote my first three books during NaNo, and each of my chapters was 1667 words long. One of them famously has the description “A washes his hands and talks about his feelings”. That’s literally all that happens. I made it last. Would it stay around in an edited version? Who knows. But it’s something I can work with.

Wow, I’m glad it helped! :) I really want to make sure that Queer Undefined is inclusive for everyone but also showcases how there are so many different understandings for these words -- it’s a really hard balance! Thank you for taking the time to add your own definitions & report offensive ones.

I always thought he would sort of be like, a super old sibling. Like, if you were 5 and your sibling was already in college, that sibling would be Zeb. Bc he does have that sibling dynamic with Ezra and Sabine but not the parent dynamic with Kanan and Hera (it’s a completely adult friendship with them)

I can see that working also but I still lean towards uncle dynamic myself given he’s older then Kanan and Hera you know?

The Bucket Brigade™ helmets don’t look good on anybody honestly.  It’s like the Empire is trying to emulate Darth Vader and his whole look but it’s just... not working.

They’re like “Man, we are never gonna look that cool...”

Also, thanks for the compliment!  I work a lot on those edits (on PowerPoint harumph harumph) and it’s nice to see other people notice them.  :D
