kisses along his neck and noses just behind his ear.
@spoopyclarkie -
the morning is pale. the room cold. it’s quiet. rare. like the softness of her lips to the side of his neck. he tenses. tenderness is not made for them. tenderness is not a good fit. her breath warm on his skin. there’s a restriction in his chest. the press of her body against his back. he hurts. he burns. so does she. he shouldn’t let it happen. but he wants to fade. fade. fade into her. there’s a war outside. reminders everywhere. the scar on his hand. the scabs on his knuckles. her pressed to his back. the sound of her breathing. war. war outside of this haven. war in the light breaths they take. the morning light isn’t soft. it burns. but she’s soft now. softer than she’s ever been. so he shifts, towards her. and she’s settled before him. beautiful. like she’s always been. blonde hair a mess. blue, her eyes are blue. alight, too. and he looks at her with a small smile. it’s false. like the cut of a knife. he doesn’t love her. she doesn’t love him. the proof of that was the angry scar on his arm. she shot him. he reaches, brushes some of her hair from her face. he wants to ask her to stay. stay like this. and soon Finn would be dead. the world theirs. his. he doesn’t want to talk about death right now. “what time is it?” it’s early. he can tell from the bumps along her skin. the shiver down his spine. or is that the lingering feeling of her pressed there against him. she’s not there now. she’s before him. the ghost of something. the ghost of feeling. it’s early enough to linger at least.

@spoopyclarkie
His sister is gone and the people he loves have all split up. They need to finish shutting down these reactors if they want to survive and he’s knows them taking multiple missions at the same time is necessary, but it doesn’t mean he has to like it. It doesn’t mean he can’t look next to him and see Clarke standing there and think this will be the last time she’s here for a while. He knows it’s not long, but that doesn’t make it any less hard. The anxiety of leaving them all — LEAVING HER — creeping through his veins.
It makes him fidgety and he needs to ground his hand on the gun in his holster to stop him from messing with his hands. Something he’s forced himself to stop when he was a kid and his mother would say sit still, Bellamy. Always worried about appearances because appearances were the only thing keeping them alive. The Blakes were good at keeping under the radar. Not being too social that people wanted to stop by, but not being too closed off that they were suspicious. He’s lost the ability to do that, it seems. Now that he’s in the middle of everything, always volunteering for the most dangerous mission first. Before, he was invisible. Now, the blood on his hands is all they see.
❛ Clarke — ❜ Her name is low on his lips like always. The gravelly nature of his voice showing something whenever he talks to her that he doesn’t like to think about. SHE’S IMPORTANT. There’s no denying that he relies on her — they all do — but he’d rather not think about anything else. Not yet, she had said. And he’d took that to mean everything. They are still trying to shut down a threat. There is nothing more to think about than their survival. So, if he notices his tone changing, he doesn’t show it. Denial can go a long way. ❛ It’ll be fine. ❜
And he doesn’t really need to say it. They’ve worked out the plan the best they can and it will either go well or it won’t go well. He’s stopping trying to look at the future brightly because the ground has never given him anything but darkness. But, in the end, there is no use in thinking it won’t be anything but fine. She hasn’t expressed doubt, but he can sense it coming from her tense body. They’re going on a new team. Not the one hundred. Not one another. And, while Bellamy will have Jasper, things between them haven’t been stable since Maya. Better than it was — but losing her had broken Jasper. And, in turn, it had broken the bond between him and the three people who had caused her death.
They call Clarke WANHEDA, forgetting about the accomplices. Forgetting that Bellamy’s back would also not be able to hold all his kill marks. ❛ And don’t think about telling me about the plan for the fifteenth time today. I got it. ❜

that is exactly the point of this post.
@spoopyclarkie
as he comes to, his ears are pounding, the sounds around him muffled from the force of the blast. he can hear screams, engines whirring, and what he thinks are gunshots. his suspicions are confirmed as he pushes himself up and feels a sharp pain in his side, blood staining his shirt. definitely gunshots. the boy pushes himself to his feet and looks around, taking a moment to reorient himself as he surveys the damage done. mutants from either side, fallen to the force of the blast... those who were left were still fighting, as if this wasn’t enough to deal with.
and then he sees her, sees the giant man built--- literally--- like a rock, coming right at her, and his body tenses up. he knows stepping in the way is stupid, because even if it won’t kill him, it’ll really hurt, but he runs anyway, darting through the bodies as he aims for clarke.
“---hey, watch it!” he snaps, and he grabs her arm with one hand and the back of her neck with the other, fingers touching her skin as he drags her to the ground and out of the way of the attack.
