Hey everyone! The other day I had the idea of “What if a bunch of authors were all given the same prompt/story start- how interesting would it be to see all the different directions we would take it?” I put that thought out on Twitter, some people were interested and thus… SPOPCreativeFlex was born! Here’s some basic information, you’ll find more in the attached letter:

- No specific post date (this summer tho)

- No word requirement

- Canon-complaint sexualities only!

- Story must include these 3 tags: Inspired by Music/Song, They’re Idiots, Your Honor, Different Social Groups… Forced to Mingle

This is the first session out of hopefully many more. EVERYONE IS WELCOME! Writers and visual artists. We made the choice to do it as required tags for this first run, that could change for future sessions. Summer Nights from Grease... but make it Seamista!

Here's my entry for the SPOP Creative Flex challenge (which I originally wrote for Seamista Week @cephalopod-literary-society but never finished in time!)

After a last minute change of school year plans, it's Sea Hawk's first day at Etherydell High and he's eager to make a good impression. Surely the tale of his romantic beach ADVENTURE will convince everyone he's cool and fun to hang out with!

Yeah, Mermista hooked up with a guy this summer, why shouldn't she brag about it? He doesn't even go to this school! And the guy was cute and nice or whatever, but the last thing she wants to be is tied down for her senior year. Thank cod, he's a million miles away spending the school year on his dad's boat and she's never going to see him again.

Right?
