canon is what happens in the text. e.g. merlin tries to poison morgana

a headcanon is a fact that you have personally made up as an elaboration of canon. it is your invention. e.g. i think morgana and gwen had a teenage lesbian situationship before the events of canon. or, i think modern morgana would love evanesence.

an interpretation is how one reads the existing text. it is not an invented fact nor is it a headcanon, it is a reading. e.g. i think merlin tries to poison morgana out of misplaced self-hatred. or, i think that one line was delivered with suppressed malice and shows a nuanced relationship.

fanon is the general fandom’s accepted headcanons and interpretations that elaborate or recontextualize canon. e.g. merlin is a badass waif and morgana is a bitch.

these are all different words with different meanings.

protip for everyone, but mostly boys in this case:

when you are on a date, and someone has an interest you don't quite get, instead of saying lol lame, try saying hmm i don't quite get that, please explain that to me, and then listen as the other person talks about why that thing is something they are in to.

you might learn something which recontextualizes the matter, and you will definitely learn something more about your date, which is the entire point of dating.

you don't have to be a superfan by the end, but you will have shown you can be chill and take an interest in stuff, which is much more likely to result in a second date instead of being ditched in a coffee line.

this also works outside of dating, btw.

I wanted full turnaround references for all of Catra's main looks, so I compiled them! Left image colored, right image transparent lines only. Links below will bring you to the official sheets I used as bases

Row 1 is traced from Jisoo Kim's official S1 reference sheet for angles 1, 4, and the expressions (missing angles are based off row 2). Adora/scale guidelines are based on row 2

Row 2 is traced from Ray Geiger's official full turnaround sheet for S4. Only the second angle was colored on the original sheet, so I filled in color for all the other angles (and removed it for the transparent sheet). Guidelines were traced from the official sheet as well.

Row 3 is based on that S4 sheet and edited to match her S5 look based off of screenshots. The new hair for the first two angles is taken from Ray Geiger's S5 new design exploration sheets.

Row 4 has three designs copy-pasted from those exploration sheets (chipped, partial underwear look, and short hair + mask look), and then the two "naked" designs are once again traced from the exploration sheets (with clothes removed for the head-on angle).

Please welcome the new Baby Book Ferret Boys!

After months without a ferret in our house, we've been painfully aware of the lack of pitter-pattering feet on the floors, mischievous noses getting into our things, and a serious lack of sweet noses kisses. But finally, finally, we have ferrets again! It's taken months of waiting, a horrible ferret scammer emotionally manipulating me by pretending to be our breeder for months, and multiple false pregnancies from the real breeder, but our newest family members are finally home and so, so very loved. Born from two different litters on the 14th and 15th of April, these little chaos goblins are now almost ten weeks old and growing like weeds, which makes sense considering how much they're eating! We flew to Ohio to pick up these precious babies and drove them back home in a rental car over three days. They're from the same ferretry Wasabi was from when we got him as a baby way back in 2018, and incredibly, Wasabi is actually the great great uncle of one of the boys! I'm so excited to tell you more about them, their personalities, and of course, their names! So keep an eye out here. More Book Ferret Joy is coming soon.

I knew that intellectually but it never truly clicked until I opened an old favorite last night to get lost in for the thousandth time. But if you’re a fanfiction author, someone out there is reading and rereading your stories. Someone out there is loving your world and words not just once but over and over and over again.

That’s amazing.

So here’s a shoutout to the readers and rereaders. The commenters and kudosers and lurkers and everyone and anyone who has ever picked a fic up and loved it.

And here’s a shoutout to the writers, in case you need a pick me up or a slight bit of love. Somewhere, out there on a screen under a sky you’ve never seen, your story is coming to life.
