So I’m doing spotlight for a show, and afterward I’m just hanging out in my little stand watching as all the actors get greeted and praised, as one does. Then, one little kid, maybe 10-12, comes up to me and says,
“You did a good job on the spot. They really don’t give you as much credit as they should.” And I was surprised a kid paid that much attention to tech, as usually they’re focused on the actors. We talked for a little, then he went over to our sound director and the sound director showed him how everything worked. After when his parents went to take him home, he was saying how he wanted to do tech now too 😭💚
I think it’s so sweet to see as you always see kids who realize they want to act, but it’s not often you see tech kids discover their passion.
