I was always very bitter inside after I switched to being a medicine apprentice, I think.

It ate away at me, watching Thistleclaw get away with what he had done to me and what he was doing to Tigerpaw. Would Tigerpaw have gone down a different path if somebody, anybody else had been his mentor, or had even just gone to Sunstar to voice their concern over what Thistleclaw was doing?

Don't get me wrong, I loved being a medicine cat and I still cared for my clanmates, but I guess a lot of anger and hurt just built up over the years, and I tended to keep to myself because I kept getting intrusive thoughts of raking my claws down one of the senior warriors or elders flanks, I was very angry about never getting some sort of justice.

I hate the way my canon diverged.

I wish so much it was different.

I yearn for a reality where he never did that to me.

Where my kits were with a different cat, when I was ready.

Maybe they were just never meant to be.

Dapplekit, Flickerkit, and Cloudkit, I hope in some reality you got to grow up. I hope in some reality you got to live long enough to open your eyes, and play, and learn, and live.

Mother's Day is complicated for most of us

As most of us don't have parental figures, or the ones we have are shitty

And some of us are parents ourselves.
