(Inspired by what I know will be coming up here in my home state of Texas in a month or so…)

Imagine Loki walking up to see you sprawled half-on-the-couch-half-on-the-floor, groaning in irritation every so often. Chuckling to himself, he “helps” you back onto the couch so that you’re sitting up like the rest of civilized society. (Ha.)

“There, my darling…”

Loki starts to wrap his arms around you, but you halfheartedly squirm out of his grasp and into a weird position where your arms are folded over your knees and your face is buried in the gap between your elbows.

“(Name), what’s wrong?”

“Too hot,” you manage. “Air conditioning’s busted. This suuuuucckkss…”

Loki thinks for a moment before reaching for you once more. “(Name), my beloved, do you trust me?”

You nod.

“Let me hold you.”

The thought of sharing personal space (and, therefore, body heat) makes you cringe.

That is, until you look up at him. He’s still gently offering his embrace.

With a soft smile, you take his blue hand.
