Feb. 2015 Challenge Wrap Up
So I wanted to take some time and reflect without cards on both of the daily tarot challenges I partook in this month. (Spread a Day 2 and Feb. Daily Draw)
NEVER EVER SIGN UP FOR TWO DAILY DRAWS AGAIN. I mean I appreciate the experience and I loved what it's done for me, but two at once is a bit more than I can handle, so if I decide to do daily pulls in the future it will be only ONE challenge. Daily draws in general are just terrible for me, when I self read, I only need it about once a month, and doing it daily twice was just repetitive over kill, and also caused me to hyper focus on things in my life amplifying my stress when I use tarot as a meditation device to reduce stress. It's been kind of eye opening and I'm happy to have my threshold tested, but I'm be glad to be able to breath for a few days because no self readings!
I defiantly have a better grasp of the cards meanings over all, I can read faster than ever (I'm still slow as a turtle, but a faster turtle!); and I can read pretty comfortably with the new decks that I focused on this month (deviating artwork throws me for a loop, Thoth deck: NEVER EVER), but I feel sad for my 1st deck (Hanson Roberts) She's an old friend I've forgotten about this month and I'm going to crack her out and use her a bit.
I figured out some valuable information to include in my readings guidelines, Some things can only be learned by doing and subsequently having the problem crop up. I know the "rules" aren't going to stop people from trying to push the envelope, but at least I have a better publicly listed guide where my black and white ethics are for tarot reading. I don't want to waste a client's time waiting on a reading/reply when there's no chance I'd pull cards for their question. There's always another reader who is willing, so it helps everyone out in the end.
I'd also like to give a BIG THANK YOU to anyone who allowed me to read for them during the month of February.
Almost all of you gave me feedback and cherry on top, the satisfaction rate was unbelievable. For someone who has just started reading for strangers, it's been a huge help and confidence booster! I cannot express my gratitude enough for taking the time to send some feedback after you got your reading. It really meant the world to me. Lame pun intended.
Now onward to whatever March holds and Beyond!
