Ryan Ross performing in a New York bar in March of 1977. During this time, Ross was recording with The Whiskey's for their first and only album, Wolf's Teeth, a project which arose in wake of the Follower's demise. While the band recorded, Ross performed a series of small shows in New York City, though very few photos exist from this time period.
38 years ago today, the Dead at Pembroke Pines, Florida. A hot show, released as Dicks Picks Vol. 3. Doh, I didn’t realize until recently that the DP version (a show I’ve listened to probably more than most) was incomplete. Always seemed a little short (albeit amazing) – so, here is the Peggy-O from that night, not included in the official release. Today I’m listening to the complete show, all the way through… it’s smoking. And I agree with Dick - one of the very best of Spring 77.
