🍜 This Week in Chinatown Las Vegas | Episode 5 🏮
If you aren't paying attention to what’s happening on Spring Mountain Road right now, you are seriously missing out.
The latest episode of This Week in Chinatown just dropped, and host Ruby Anne is giving us the ultimate breakdown of everything changing in the district this week:
The Food Scene is Exploding: There are currently six major new food concepts on the official watch list making serious construction progress. Keep your eyes peeled for B Dessert Atelier (from the Maza 888 crew), Heart Factory, Q Ramen, Harbor Seafood and Hot Pot, SoCal favorite Shin-Sen-Gumi Yakitori, and Windy HK BBQ & Noodles.
The 8-Year Mystery: Ever drive past the northeast corner of Jones and Spring Mountain and wonder why it’s still empty? Ruby takes a look back at the 2018 fire that gutted the Spring Mountain Center. The outside looks brand new, but the inside has been a ghost town for nearly a decade. (A deep dive is coming soon!)
World Cup Vibes: If you need a spot with an elite beer selection to watch the soccer matches with an electric crowd, Crown & Anchor is officially the designated Chinatown hub.
Local Politics: The primary results are in! Minja Yan took first place for Clark County Commission District F, setting up a massive November matchup against Heidi Kasama. This race is huge because whoever wins will preside over Chinatown’s future.
Community Growth: Big moves are happening with early plans for a Chinatown Visitor Center and open recruitment for a new Chinatown Advisory Council to give locals a voice.
Nightcap: As always, finish your night off with live local music over at The Sand Dollar Lounge.
Chinatown is evolving so fast right now. What upcoming restaurant concept are you guys most hyped for? 🥢
