I love turkey hunting in the spring. By the time April rolls around, I have cabin fever and need to get out and get away. Wild turkeys are smart and everything has to come together just right in order to put one in the freezer. It’s challenging, fun, and the rewards in the frying pan are mouth-watering delicious! Go on some spring turkey hunts in Yolo and Santa Barbara County compliments of CDFW and SHARE.  And on wildlife areas in Northern California.

Turkey hunters will have an opportunity to land one of 12 SHARE Access Permits for eight two-day turkey hunts. Each permit is valid for two hunters. Hunters need a valid California hunting license to apply online for the random drawing. To apply online go to
