Easter Bunny and Chick Cupcakes- Cute Treats
Create beautiful and edible gum paste daisy flower cupcakes with this easy tutorial. Perfect for spring or any special occasion!
Ingredients: 1 batch of gum paste. Yellow gel food coloring. White gum paste. Small rolling pin. Daisy flower cutter. Foam pad. Ball tool. Edible glue. Fine paintbrush. Yellow petal dust. Green gum paste. Leaf cutter. Cupcakes of your choice. Buttercream frosting. Piping bag and tip. Fondant smoother.
Instructions: For the flower petals, color a small amount of gum paste with yellow gel food coloring. Use cornstarch or powdered sugar to cover a surface and roll out the yellow gum paste until it is about 1/16-inch thick. A daisy flower cutter can be used to make flower shapes. These shapes should then be put on a foam pad. Use a ball tool to make the edges of each daisy petal thinner and fan out a little. A little edible glue should be put in the middle of each daisy. Then, stack daisies of different sizes to make a flower shape. Let them dry overnight or for a few hours. Use a fine paintbrush to dust the middle of each daisy flower with yellow petal dust after they are dry to make them look more real. Use the leaf cutter to make leaf shapes out of the green gum paste that you roll out. To make the leaves look more real, use a ball tool. Using edible glue, attach the leaves to the cupcakes and place them where you want. Get your buttercream frosting and cupcakes ready. With a piping bag and tip, add a swirl of buttercream to the top of each cupcake. To make the surface smooth, put a fondant smoother on top of the buttercream and press it down gently. Last, finish decorating the cupcakes by putting a gum paste daisy flower on top of each one.
