If regular Springer is meant to be a stock 80s action hero, Would SG springer be a stock 80s action villain, or would he be based in the deconstructions of the action hero archetype that gained popularity in the 90s?

I feel like a lot of people forget that a lot of the TFP designs ignore the G1 designs. Like (And I'm so sorry for reminding people this thing exists) Galvatron's Revenge. Hot Rod and Springer are very clearly based on their G1 designs and it makes them stand out in a weird way.

I started reading Void Rivals if only because I happened to see a cover with Springer on it. Also Hot Rod shows up!!

I’ve actually been enjoying Void Rivals a lot on its own, especially with recent issues giving us lore and laying the groundwork for an exciting future arc.
