Nick was busy eating lunch when he noticed two men walk into the near empty cafeteria, he was always the last to come eat. He cocked his head to the side and stood up to go talk to the men, he didn't recognize them and besides he could use the company.

"Hello to you both, I'm Nick but I can be known as Claus too."

Yancy cannot stand being told he "has something better to do." He's heard enough of that excuse when it came to his brother when they were young, alone, and on their own. And he's heard it prior to their mother dying and their father leaving as well. But point being--he knows his fucking priorities. He knows what he has to do, what he owes people to do. And Yancy knows what he owes himself as well. So no, when someone goes "Yancy, you have something better to do", the only thing they're getting back from him is a sharp smile and a "I am doing the best thing right now. Thanks." Because as a pilot and a ranger, he signed up to save the world because it's what he could do. Not because it's what he owes the world.
