Spring Jelsa Week Day 6: Promises
“I’ll help you make today a perfect day. I promise.”
Spring Jelsa Week, Day 2 (late)
"Damn it, everyday it gets colder and colder out here!" Jackson said as he rubbed his hands together, and placed it on his face while walking down the quiet road. It was really freezing, the month of January and it's still -12°C. And the only thing that slightly drives him crazy is... Elsa, his tour guide here in Japan. She wasn't even freezing, heck, she was wearing light clothes. It bothered him, that's why everytime they travel, he always glances at her. He asked himself if she had immunity to the cold, and he prayed to have it. Jack looked at his side, there she was... still immune to the cold. He spoke up, puffs of smoke as he said his words, "Hey Elsa, aren't you even feeling a little cold? With your light clothes and no jacket, at all?" She chuckled at his questions, he skeptically looked at her while hoping for answers. Elsa looked at him, "No, Jack. I like the cold, because the cold never bothered me anyway." Warm brown eyes looked at her ice blue ones with a confused stare, "What? Are you, like, a cold person? She shrugged her shoulders, "Yeah, I guess. I got used to the cold a long time ago. I was born here, I live here, and my birthday's in December, maybe that's why I was used to the cold, or something like that. But I'm not a Japanese woman, just a registered citizen." "Oh... okay. And being a tour guide is your full-time job?" "Well, yeah, sometimes." "Sometimes? Why?" "In winter and fall, it's only a part-time, sometimes I don't even work, because less tourists visit Japan. That means no tourists to guide, but in spring and winter, the airport's booming with people, and our agency too. In that case, I'm working my butt off in spring to summer, and a on and off vacation in fall and winter." "Oh... okay. Being a tou- achoo!" Of course, he covered his face with a handkerchief before he sneezed, then he sneezed again, and again. Elsa was surprised when he heard Jack sneeze, then she stopped walking to look at him. His face was red, she spoke up, "Are you sick, Jack?" He shrugged his shoulders, "Nah, just a little cold, I guess." She put her hand on his forehead, which made Jack stop moving, like he was instantly paralyzed when Elsa touched him. He regained his senses, and grasped her hand to remove it from his forehead, "I'm fine, Elsa." To his disappointment, he let go of her hand. He didn't even want to let go of it. Her hand was soft, and her palm was smooth as silk. She looked at him, "Your hand is cold." Then she held out her hand, with that, he looked at her porcelain skinned face, then to her soft hand, and back to her face again. "What?" Jack confusedly said. "Give me your hand." "Why?" "Because your hand is freezing." "No, it's not." "Yes, it is. It's shaking." He looked down on his hands, and indeed, they're shaking. Brown eyes met blue ones, he sighed and fisted his hands. "Fine, but only until we find a convenient store, okay?" Elsa smiled, "Sure." Jackson reluctantly held Elsa's hand, but eventually gave up, because her hand was making him feel... warm and comfortable. He thought that it seemed so right to hold her hand, but it felt wrong, yet he didn't even care because her hand was giving off warmth. Warmth to his hand, cheeks, and to his heart.
