"when I was a child, I used to think that the stars were our ancestors and loved ones watching over us. Each twinkle were signals they gave, telling whoever was watching to keep going."
Vanessa straightened up slightly, bringing a knee to her chest as she tilted her head with curiosity.
"My mother believed the stars were out angels...And if we're in trouble, they guide us in the right direction. She loved the stars. They were more than just big bright balls of gas floating in space to her and that's what makes them special for me."
Springtrap sighed, the puff of air exhaled through the vents in his nose clouded the surface of the wine glass held delicately between his fingers as he gently swirled the remains of the deep red liquid. "With all the things that I did combined my previous beliefs, I wouldn't be surprised if everytime i looked up, clouds would cover the sky." The curves tallons on his metal feet curled against the frame of the door, leaving faint scores as if he marked where he has sat.
The woman took a sip of her drink before setting it gently on the old sheet that was being used as a makeshift tablecloth on the ground. He kept his glass, finishing it contents before refilling it halfway. This had to be his fifth glass already but he was far from being 'buzzed' yet. She learned it took a lot of strong alcohol for him to get even a little bit drunk. A few glasses of wine was like a cup of morning orange juice, completely safe and harmless.
His silver eyes flicked to her blue orbs. She always found herself captivated in them as they glowed like two stars of his own with a ring of a smooth smoke blue around the outer pupil. Springtrap shifted from his usual seating position, moving to sit on his knees with one hand on the ground for balance. The other cupped her cheek, the matted fur of his fingertips and cold exposed metal making her skin tingle. A blush crept up her face as the seven foot tall animatronic pressed his nose against hers. "But how could I ever worry about the clouds now when I already have the brightest star by my side?" His rough accented whisper sent a vibration through her sternum. She could almost taste the bitterness of the wine that rolled off his breath. "My own guardian angel who saved my tainted soul and showed me what it feels like to love again."
