people don’t like how Mike Afton is portrayed in the movie??? I love him so much

like he’s so creepy and I’m so glad we have a Michael Afton who gets to be a little terrifying.

Plus I felt like they were just splitting game Mike into two people? With Schmidt being the Mike who’s ridden with guilt and trying to fix everything and Afton being the Mike who blindly followed his father (like in sister location). Like I think that’s what they were going for and I really like the concept.

also just…. evil Michael Afton. Is that not wonderful. I am rejoicing every time my favorite characters get to be a little evil. And I really like them exploring a character that didn’t escape William’s manipulation like Vanessa did… I’m so curious to see whether he’s gonna be redeemed or like killed off.
