Here’s another experiment with my modular and the record + remix by @techwillsaveus. This time I sampled the music box tines off of one of my #Springzingers. My audio pots came in today! I tried out one in a box I just completed for a friend and it sounds so much better than the other pots I was using. The only issue I had was grounding the wires to the back of the pot. The solder just wasn’t working very well so I ended up using hot glue instead. I might prototype a few other designs but if all goes well these volume knobs will be a standard feature of all my new #Springzingers. Looking back, 2019 was a really big year for me. I released three albums, acquired some powerful new music gear, started an after school program, built nearly 100 #springzingers, set up an Etsy shop, facilitated a number of instrument building workshops, and set myself up for a very interesting 2020 among many other things.
