Frosted Funfetti Cookies are a delicious treat! These soft, buttery cookies flecked with colorful sprinkles are a fun treat for kids of all ages. They're perfect for celebrations, parties, or simply satisfying your sweet tooth. They're topped with a creamy frosting and even more sprinkles.
Ingredients: 1 cup butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 2 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 2 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup colorful sprinkles. For the frosting:. 1/2 cup butter, softened. 2 cups powdered sugar. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 2 tablespoons milk. Additional sprinkles for decoration.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on baking sheets. Melt the butter and mix it with the sugar in a bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time and beat well. Then add the vanilla extract. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a different bowl. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones and mix them together until they are just combined. Add the bright sprinkles and mix them in. Place cookie dough spoonfuls on the baking sheets that have been prepared, leaving space between them. Make each ball of dough a little flatter with the back of a spoon. After the oven is hot, bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden. For a few minutes, let the cookies cool on the baking sheets before moving them to wire racks to cool all the way. To make the frosting, cool the butter and beat it until it is smooth and creamy. Add the powdered sugar slowly at first, then mix in the milk and vanilla extract. Mix the frosting well until it's fluffy and light. Once the cookies are completely cool, use the frosting that you made to frost the tops. Add more sprinkles while the frosting is still soft to make it look nice. Before you serve or store the cookies, let the frosting set.
