pony mail from yesterday ! parasol (italian) and galaxy - i had no idea this parasol was italian haha so it was a surprise ! these are the ‘before’ photos; i’ll post more in-depth stuff with the 'after’.

before & after: masquerade ! all the marks on her looked like surface dirt, but they wouldn't come off no matter what i used. quickly popped her head off and she was filled with what looked like rust ? cleaned her out as best i could, and now it's hardly visible ! pretty sure the only thing that would rid her of the rust completely would be replacing the tail clamp/ring with a zip tie and washing her body out with smth more powerful - both of which im unable to do right now. i'm pretty pleased with how she ended up, tho ! i still might touch up her symbol with some acrylic, since the blue is pretty faded on one side. i'm cleaning out more ponies later, so expect more posts like this ahah kink/nsfw blogs do not interact

i ordered some pony mail the other day ! i sent some links to my mum and told her to surprise me, so idk who i'm getting :O i know i'm getting a majesty tho ! the seller of majesty listed her as bait condition and it broke my heart because she was in decent condition ! personally i have way more baity ponies in my collection (e.g my seashell with major discolouring and no tail) so it's not a big deal to me if a pony isn't mint condition. i love em anyway, yknow ?

2. Do you have a favorite figure? i love all of my ponies but my two favourites are from my childhood; Moonstone, my first G1 pony, and Baby Cotton Candy, my first G1 baby pony! i couldn't take much of my G1 collection with me when i moved for university, but i always took Baby Cotton Candy, she's so beloved to me and i just love her little face and her freckles <3

13. Are you a brand loyalist, or do you just buy whatever horses you like? i am very much an MLP loyalist! i have a couple of other misc pony-adjacent figures but MLP is my lifelong special interest and i've not collected another horse/pony centric toy line since i was a kid (pony in my pocket and filly toys were some other pony related ones i collected when i was younger).

14. What's your favorite thing about collecting? i love a lot of things about collecting; restoration, preservation & archiving, the history of MLP, the sentimental attachments tied to each pony... but my favourite of all has to be the healing aspect to me. i didn't have the easiest childhood but MLP got me through it, and now that i'm out of the other side it's healing to repurchase ponies i used to own or buy new ones for my collection. it's like saying to my younger self "hey, look, we made it! and we have those ponies you always wanted." a little personal and maybe a little heavy, but that's the truth ^_^ !
