I just wanted to say I really liked your oneshot with Jack and Beckett! I’m always looking for fics about them but there aren’t as many out there as I thought there would be. I honestly thought Beckett was gay and he had chemistry with Jack in the movies but I guess that’s an unpopular opinion. Did you feel a similar way?

second of all so this may come as a surprise but. i actually do not particularly like beckett with jack as they are in the movies bc what a mess. but i have always hc’d beckett as queer mainly bc his backstory contains so many queer-coded trauma parallels (ie. ridiculed by brothers for being ‘unmanly’, bullied by peers for being different, his father tries to get him to join the clergy????) and also bc yeah in the movies he acts like that 😭

i wrote for them bc toxic pairings r unfortunately fun to write + jack is so open and eccentric he scares the fuck out of beckett and that’s an interesting concept to me

at the end of the day he is a fictional character and with fictional characters u can kinda project whatever u want onto them. within reason. that’s basically what they’re for. i think villains are cool and i am a gay man so i will write what i know lmfao
