Marie sets a deadpanned gaze along the hallway of the school. Summer is over, and she's back in this shit hole. She doesn't understand the use of it. It's nice to be away from the craziness of her project, but high school isn't a nice place to spend her time.
She breathes out, her lips vibrating lightly with the effort. Marie has absolutely zero friends, and nothing to look forward to. She has spoken to people before, but they never stick. She never gets to hang out after school, and she can't exactly bring friends to a secret military base.
She's also fully aware people gossip behind her back.
The thoughts kept her absent-minded, and she lets out a curse when she bumps into someone on her way to her locker.
