I retreated from real world anxieties to rpg bullshit again lol. This time by playing South Park: The Stick of Truth.

I had no real plan for my character when I started, but as I went on, I gave him more and more of a distinct personality in my head. I didn’t plan on getting so attached to Butters either, but here we are lol.

My boy’s name is Fernan (like Fernando without the -do lol). Along with losing his memories at the start of the game, he gained extreme anxiety that’s manifested itself into his muteness. As he moves around stiffly, feeling awkward, everyone keeps misinterpreting his actions as ‘cool’, making him gain his social media friends fast. He’s baffled by it and feels trapped. He keeps thinking he’ll disappoint everyone one day; this fear makes him even more conservative over his speech. The bear cap is only lvl 4 but I kept it the whole time because it’s SO CUTE. And it fit so well with the viking outfit later on in the game!!

Baby boy has a big ol crush on Butters lol. The feelings gradually formed the first day he moved; he thought he was just glad he found a nice kid in town. He didn’t realize their extent until he was in bed. My son was screwed. I was a Butter main all playthrough, with the only rough patch being when I miscalculated my shifting alliance in the middle fight. I gave the Goth Alliance to the Elves, thinking I could bring Butters over with them (it was late at night i wasn’t thinking straight ;w; ) and lo and behold, instead of still being able to use him as my partner, I HAD TO FIGHT HIM. I WAS SO SAD THE WHOLE FIGHT, BEATING UP POOR BUTTERS, AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF, HIS FINAL CRY WAS “NOBODY LIKES ME!” THAT HIT ME D,,,: I FELT LIKE A MONSTER. As soon as both faction leaders fought over me again, I made sure to double cross the Elves and rejoin the humans, but everything went back to normal anyways. This was a trip lol. Now Imma play South Park: The Fractured But Hole.
