Honestly the first time I saw it, I thought he was trying to become human. I can see how “what I was” means without the chip because what he was before the chip was a vampire, a killer, able to feed on people and whatnot. But why would he even want that at that point

Ok, I give it to you, when taken literally, what he was before the chip was an evil vampire etc. Though it just has double meaning you see. Before being a vampire, he was human, so your first thought was closer from the truth. And, exactly, like you said, why would he want to go back to the senseless killer he was. At this point, it's not like it was the chip making the difference.

Anyway, I think it was a bad plot twist to be honest. I think it was not correct to the fans to lead them on like that, especially after shoving the other thing in our face. But I also think it's important that people know that, it's why I made that gifset because as I said, it was really confusing, and I think it brings closure for the shippers (aka me and my feels).

I know he was going to get his soul back and the reason he says “make me what i was” or whatever is to make you THINK he’s trying to get the chip out. But I don’t understand how “what i was” translates to “vampire with a soul”. That always bugged me

I see what you mean, but what I don't understand is how people can think "what I was" means without the chip. He wants to be "a kind of man". The soul is the closest thing he can have to being a man. He wants to "give Buffy what she deserves" and I think that anyone with a good understanding of his character, of how much he understands Buffy, would know that it was about the soul from the very beginning.

Though the whole thing was really confusing. And to be quite honest, just a bad move, Joss. Just a bad move.

You don't celebrate Halloween there? Is it an American holiday and I am just stupid or it's just not really celebrated there? Either way it's sad for you, Halloween is really great and once you move to the states I WILL GIVE YOU THE BEST HALLOWEENS EVEN IF I HAVE TO FLY HOURS TO DO IT

we have to tell you everything about other cultures, don't we?

Since the globalization and whatnot, a few holidays are celebrated in several places in 'american tradition'. Like Santa Claus being all snowy like, when here we are actually on the highest of our summer in december. But we still have the same Santa.

And we do have a few of Halloween celebrations but it's not nearly as awesome. Is kinda of trying to imitate but like always, gets just simple lame?

Yeah.

And actually the best Halloween parties here are given by language schools :P
