Heroine of Hyrule

"Open your eyes.." A voice came through the darkness. Blue lights came into vision. "Wake up Scarlett.."

Scarlett slowly opened her eyes, the sounds of water draining around her. She sat up and looked around. Scarlett slowly got up, finding that she was only in her undergarments. She also had no idea where she was or why she was here. Her memory was a little fuzzy.

"Gotta find some clothes.." she muttered, looking around. Scarlett walked up to the pedestal where there was a strange looking tablet. She picked it up as the voice told her to take it and that it would guide her after her long slumber. Soon the door opened to the next room.

In the next room were two chests, which she unlocked and got an old shirt and pants. Scarlett looked around for anything else that might be of use.

Scarlett noticed the same looking pedestal which was glowing orange. Scarlett walked over to it and placed the Sheikah Slate on it. It glowed blue and opened a door, revealing the light that made Scarlett cover her eyes.

"Scarlett.. you are the light.. our light. That must shine on Hyrule once again.. Now go."

Scarlett nodded and left the Shrine of Resurrection, into the land of Hyrule. To start her adventure and save Hyrule.

“I love the rain. Now that the snow has melted, it will not be long before flowers bloom again.”

It was one of her favorite things. She was tempted to go out in it. To feel the water against her cheeks. But it was probably a better idea to stay inside, rather than risk getting sick. Princesses didn’t get sick days, if she could get up, she had to do her paperwork.

“What do you think of the rain? Have you ever had an adventure in the rain?”

“Uh huh..Uh huh....” Ota nodded along to his story, head peeking over to the block in question. She was admittedly curious over how the block ended up over there and not in the hole, where he was, but something told her that she was not going to be enlightened on that part of the story anytime soon.

“Oh- Um-”   Flattening herself against the floor, she draped her arms into the hole and held her hands out. Despite the icy floor, it didn’t bother her at all.  “Can you reach? I can try to pull you out,” she offers.

It hasn’t been that long since the original shade had been killed. It made the other shades, including Dark, feel restless. Especially the weaker shade was terrified for his life. If it wasn’t for the Hero, it would be his master, Ganondorf, who would end him.

He longed to live in the light. He longed to live in peace. But he was a being of darkness. Was he even allowed to live in this world?

His journey brought him to Lake Hylia. But, why? This was the place where the original shade died in. Why was he here?

The entity looked at the water’s surface, carefully going closer to its edge. He looked down at his own reflection. He didn’t really like what he saw. His face was thinner than the other shades and his scarlet eyes laid sunken in their sockets.

He was a weak shade, a failure. Yet it was this failure that had to search for the Hero. A suicide mission. Even he knew that. 

Sitting down, the entity hugged his knees as he continued to look at his own reflection.

She had been alone for so long. Even if the village was still the same as it had been when her brother left, something had been missing. 

Robin kept mostly to herself, even if she  didn’t want to be. The forest she had roamed during her youth became her stomping grounds, a distraction from her thoughts of worst case scenarios. Link could have died, or gotten injured, or worse... 

Even now, she shook her head, curls flopping around and whapping her forehead, earning a dissatisfied grunt. The wolf child kept her right hand still on her bow, the other moving to whisk the pesky hair out and away from her eyes.

Until... She heard it. The sound of horse hooves, and a scent she swore she had forgotten. But how could she? Even though it was marred by the scent of fire and sweat and war, she could still tell who it was, and she ran.

Her heart was alive! Bouncing and bounding, howling out into the afternoon sun with endless breath. Hope had never faltered, and so she had been rewarded.

“Brother!”
