My Perciver Era headcanon

Percy stopped to want to work for the ministry after his second grade.

Their squad is composed of Oliver Wood, Percy Weasley, Penelope Clearwater, Marcus Flint and sometime Cho Chang, Cedric Diggori and Audrey.

Cho is a transfem and Cedric's a transmasc.

Their squad name is the Obsessed Squad

Percy :

Percy's achillian and gender fluid since his 4 grade.

Percy's dream work is to open a muggle/sorcerer book shop named 'with a little bit of magic'.

Percy is on the autistic spectrum and he had many OCD.

Percy and Oliver start to go together in the 5 grade.

He works at the ministry as a spy and has his bookshop next.

Percy cut ties with his family only for protect them.

He asks Percy to live with him when Percy runs away.

Officially, Percy lives in a mediocre muggle apartment but in reality, he lives in a beautiful house in the Scottish countryside with Oliver.

You know one thing I wanted to touch upon is how among all Weasleys and yes ALL of them, Percy Weasley is the academic kid and him speicifically being singled out hurts.

Oh you can argue Bill is smart and bla blah whatever, he's cool sooo.

But Percy?

He likes writing reports and being in charge. He likes to talk and is passionate about stuff other ppl find boring. He's stubborn and prideful and has a desk job and is unathletic.

AND I CAN RELATE TO THAT.

Like yes maybe not all, I'm still anxious and hate public speaking and socialising but I am similar to Percy in a way.

So when JK decided to make him the 'Bad Weasley' it hurts me because I saw me in him. I really did.

And also the lost potential?

Having someone be intelligent is treated as a damn sin in the HP books! Hermione is excluded because of it and is also the only exception because everyone else who is smart is treated like f*cking shit in the books!

(AND NO dumbledore is not smart, screw him)

Percy, Cho, Cedric, Padma all these characters, one thing I can say they have in common is their intelligence and book smart ( doubtful ab Cedric but whatever)

And Percy had so much potential to be someone in the war who did the "actual" saving, no maybe not fight physically with Deatheaters but instead save the Muggleborns from being unjustly killed for existing.

AND IT'S NOT DIFFICULT TO INCORPORATE PERCY DOING THIS! There's already this scene of the trio in the Ministry in the 7th book, just add something like Percy giving one of the disguised 3 some document of Muggleborns, it would make Ron re-think what he thought of his brother, HELL it would make book 7 so much more memorable and suprise the audience

Espionage and feels with P.I.W

P.I.W never intended on becoming a spy. His life goal was to settle with his world quidditch star boyfriend and become minister for magic. But now he was getting muggleborns from the interrogation chambers and sending them on his version of the Underground Railroad, set up with a rich American cousin across the pond. He was gifted with occlumency, thus he had a snake curled around his forearm. A member of the dark lord's closest circle. The night he got the image of death pressed into his arm he almost hacked off the skin. It was only the strong warm hands of his boyfriend that stopped him.

“How about I add blush to the skull, hm?” Oliver asked, hugging the thinner man to his chest. “I-I would like that.” P.I.W said thickly with sobs wracking his body. They stayed there on the kitchen floor, Oliver Wood rocking him back and forth. “It’s okay, I know you’re not bad. You’re the love of my life. I love you.” He murmured promises, into his fluffy red hair. “I love you too, so much. Thank you thank you thank you.” P.I.W said, pressing a kiss to his cheek.

The next day he did something his father would give him a strange look for and his mother would sigh. “Another trouble maker.” His brothers might have laughed, if he hadn’t betrayed them for this job. His littlest sibling would’ve giggled and insisted he taught her it. At least he thought she might.

He cast a spell he had borrowed from his younger brothers. It was nigh’ impossible to reverse. He cast a waterproof spell on his papers and then launched the little storm cloud to the ceiling. It stuck and spread. Soon all the little people on the right hand of the minister were trying to save important documents. And In that chaos he slipped away. In the washroom he downed a slow acting polyjuice potion with a random muggles hair. (It turned a pleasant jade colour).

Stepping into an elevator with a couple co workers and headed towards the interrogation cells. Casting a patronus charm, an owl burst from his wand. The dementors retreated from the sleek snow owl. “Alright everyone gather round! This is a port key it will take you to a friend of mine in Scotland and they’ll send you to America, to one of my cousins.” He said after whistling to get attention. In his hand he held a pocket watch with a lot of chain.

Silence

A little girl with a thumb in her mouth came up first. “Are you not a bad man?” Her blond curls, tilting to the side with her head. “No I’m not I’m a super secret spy.” He said. “Like James Bond!” She giggled. “Sure now grab on! All you lot!” He called to the gaunt crying people in the room. At first a couple of other kids without their parents came up and grabbed the chain. Before more people came up, soon everyone was on the chain. And then it started glowing. “Bye mister bond!” The Little girl shouted.

And then he returned to his papers as Percy, using hairs from his old head. (His potion was a pleasant mix of black bronze and red.) and slipped back to his desk, it went perfectly. And then the shrill alarm and a voice. “Harry Potter Ronald Weasley and Hermoine Granger have infiltrated the ministry! All personnel report to the atrium!” With a sigh and a deep hope it’s another false alarm, he went along with his office mates. Sadly it was not a false alarm so while pretending to shoot stupify blasts off he took out some heavy hitters. He could easily play it off as friendly fire.

And then after it was over he had to sit through a propaganda fueled meeting with the minister. And then had to get the man lunch. By the end of his terrible day he just wanted to collapse in his boyfriend's arms but now he had muggleborn patrol *sigh*. He side by side apparated 5 wandless muggleborns. He brought in a lizard he “thought” might be an animagus. The spell didn’t work and the lizard scuttled off.

He trudged into the apartment and kicked off his boots. “Oli?” He called out looking for his love. “Perce?” It came from his little book alcove by the window. “Are you okay?” He asked, sitting on the seat. “Just a little scuffle.” He said still turned towards the window. “Oliver Henry Wood. You show me your face or you’re sleeping out here for a week.” He used his motherly tone. His boyfriend was wearing his English eagle hoodie.

And then he turned his head. He had some extreme bruising and a couple scrapes. “What happened?” He asked, opening his arms. “A scuffle with a group of death eaters. I don’t know if I should say this part.” Oliver said as he was wrapped in a warm hug. “Tell me everything.” P.I.W said cuddling the taller man. “I think one might’ve been a werewolf… Merlin I’m scared.” He said. P.I.W glanced out the window, a setting full moon. “Alright alright. I can’t be seen with you. Me being a death eater and everything bu-“

he was cut off by a glowing patronus cat landing next to them. “mr. Wood. Come to Hogwarts it’s going to get quite rough.” Mcgonagall's voice from the cat. “Oh.” Oliver said, wiping his eyes. “We’ll look after you later. I guess it’s time we go home.” He said, giving a sad look to Oliver. “Well… it’s time for you to finally use your battle mage skills.” Oliver said with a raised eyebrow. And P.I.W flushed

They both rushed around getting ready. P.I.W in a trench coat and Oliver in robes. “One last thing.” Oliver said so quietly. “Yes dear?” P.I.W asked turning around. And let out a quiet gasp and a chuckle. “Will you Percival Ignaius Weasley Marry me?” He asked, tears in his eyes. “In hope that we both survive the night, Yes! Yes!” He said kissing his now standing boyfriend. The band of metal fit his finger perfectly. “Wait… is this snitch gold?” Oliver said, smiling happily. “Well I say if we survive we get married on Voldy’s grave.” Percy said. “Damn I love your sadistic side.” Oliver whistled.

No one dared to approach that corner of the great hall. It was shadowy where a body was laid out with a light smirk still on its lips. By it sat a man. Stubble just growing in. tears running down his face as he clutched a ring. It held two sets of initials and shimmered in the light of the broken window. Beside him rested the still cooling body of a love no more. In the silent air of the hall, they all jumped at the sound of a laugh so loud it must’ve been hysterics. “YOU PROMISED PERCY!” The man shouted, doubling over with tears.
