If I had the opportunity to concept a redesign for Spyro, I would have him be a tiny, round thing with big bat wings 😈

And Sparx a dark yet glowing shadow, kind of like Issun from Okami.

A quick doodle of my own take on Hunter’s design!

A Spyro (and Sparx) redesign! Not too different because I love Spyro’s design, but I made a few changes. I gave him ears simply because I like dragons with ears (ears add expressiveness!), and I altered his spines and wings a bit. I also made him a little thicker through the chest to reflect the builds of many of the elder dragons from Spyro the Dragon. He’s just generally rounder, to keep him cute but still cool enough to save the Dragon Realms. For Sparx, I wanted him to be simple but have a slightly more dragony and expressive face, a little more reflective of Spyro himself.

This was a fun little thing to do! Maybe more redesigns in the future?
