48. I’m Getting It
Slept at 2AM this morning. A dream about Ro James I had over the weekend that was so crazy he’s STILL on my mind sent me down a rabbit hole of searches:
Ro James Instagram
Ro James Permission
Ro James Live

Luke James Make Love To Me
Then I started thinking, “Wow, there are lot of current great R&B singers!” *Eye roll* Useless thoughts that procrastinated my sleeping. Then, thanks to YouTube’s machine learning tool, it turned me to Erykah Badu’s NPR Tiny Desk concert, a video I’ve seen a million times. I forwarded to the portion of the concert where she sang maybe one of my favorite songs of all time, Green Eyes. I then sang myself to sleep. Enjoy...
I woke up at 7. I knew I would only get 5 hours, but I like the sequence of rise at 7, early on the train so that I’m not in a stranger’s armpit on my ride into downtown, gym, shower, then quick bus ride to school. I don’t have to stress about getting a workout in or skipping it; I can just do my homework after class with a little less stress.
Today was good. I stayed awake in both lectures...mostly. I am doing much better than previous days. I got my midday nap in (20 min). I hope working full time won’t be such a shock when I can’t get my midday nap in...
The last lecture was particularly hard...but I was keeping up! I understood it and was able to explain it to my lab mate.
In our first session, the woman I pair-coded with sighed a lot. She did not understand the lecture and, because it is another lesson of SQL, a language I am familiar with, I went slow and explained my steps. But because she was sighing and would get up without notice in the middle of me reading at times, I couldn’t tell if this was welcomed or not. I would ask a few times, “Are you okay?,” and she would smile and respond, “Yes”. She continued to smile throughout though, and we chatted about our project ideas. I realized it was probably all in my head.
We were surprised with no homework tonight, so I am going to research some APIs for my project. I am excited.
Good night!
