Wow! I didn’t expect my mustelid sketch page to take off like that, but 39 notes in less than 12 hours is astounding. So, thank you! I did enjoy drawing those lanky mammals, so expect more of them in the future. :3
I didn’t used to do this, but now I catch myself doing it almost every time...
“Especially” is spelled with an “s” as the second letter. Many people, however, pronounce it “expecially” making a “ks” sound instead. When I truly noticed that fact and started to actively listen for it (dreading hearing it, all the same), that’s when I started spelling it wrong.
I would even tell myself, “Okay, spell it with an ‘s’ like you know you should.” And then I glance at the screen, and that traitorous left ring finger slid down a row on the keyboard!
If I seem rather quiet lately, it’s because I’ve been occupied with benign and productive yet time consuming tasks like taking a morning to do all my steel homework or upkeep on my vehicle. And then there’s this commission I’m supposed to be doing. I KEEP GETTING DISTRACTED. I mean, it’s drawing, it’s art. Why can’t I stick with it? Ugghhh. I’ve been working on it off and on all weekend (more off than on, I must admit), and so far, I’ve made the basic outline and finished one-and-a-half trees acting as borders to the image. (large pencil drawings are quite time-consuming)
But yeah, that’s why my free-time doodles have been lacking.
Oh, yeah, and HAPPY EASTER, folks! *scurries back to desk*
You know when you’re in a group of three and two of you turn out great work in a timely manner, and then that last person just...doesn’t?
Either, because he’s super busy and doesn’t have time or he just doesn’t care. And so there are a few blank parts on the poster where you gave him THE SIMPLEST TASKS like defining a single term and putting the sources in a citation machine where he has almost no influence on the readability or actual content.
. . .
Why am I still dealing with this shit? I’m about to graduate. I have more important things to occupy my time than hovering over the shoulder of another adult and nagging that he puts in minuscule effort.
Nope. Just gonna leave the blank spaces. I hope I can convince my other team member to leave it be as well. I don’t even need this fucking class. I thought it’d be interesting, but here I am wasting my time on a digital poster that we have to present at a convention-type thing later this semester. No, we don’t have a choice, it’s part of our final grade. Did we do anything but Google shit for a few hours? No. Do we deserve to have a poster next students who did actual research on a topic of their choice? No! *slams head onto desk*
Oh, hey, guess who sleeps like crap every night thanks to her oh so considerately quiet and non-smoking roommates? Yepppp. So fucking done with school. I fucking hate where I live, but it’s so damn convenient that I don’t have to drive and I just have a few more months, and dear God, please keep me sane and help me survive until I’ve received this stupidly expensive piece of paper that my whole life has built up to. Umfff...
My laptop is becoming more unreliable with each passing day. It's been connected to the Internet for the past hour via Ethernet cable. Then, without moving the laptop or touching the cord, it loses connection. Unplug and reinsert and no dice. Walk away for half of minute, then come back to a hunky-dory Internet connection! WTFFF???
Pleeeeaaase, laptop, I just need you to last until May! <:0
I’m trying to do homework, but one thought keeps intruding...
How big is Dave??? I’ve never drawn him with another creature of established size (Puddlekins doesn’t have an established size either) nor any familiar objects from which to determine a scale.
While it would be cool for him to be a large, semi-sentient, eight-legged worm creature, that doesn’t seem feasible. But what if he was typical earthworm size? Or the size of a house cat? I don’t knowwww. I never meant to think about him as anything more than a goofy, creepy monstrosity.
Ugh, LIFE
Don’tcha love it when life throws a couple-a curve balls at you, and just when you get used to it, a couple of sliders are pitched instead? Just enough to break your flow before the curve balls come back?
I certainly DON’T. >:E
