Two pastel blue suitcases in his hands, Gregory still had a week before he had to have his previous apartment emptied. He planned to just bring a good amount of essentials that day, then bring more later on; he’d already put anything that he didn’t plan to bring over at the moment in a storage unit.
Having a roommate was going to be different; his last one was only temporary and they were only around for a week every couple of months. Life as a mercenary had him making choices based around who he felt he knew wouldn’t snoop or discover damning details of his work and then disclose the information, resulting in him having to run out of town. So far, that hadn’t happened and he wanted to keep it that way.
Last night, the entrance to the place was empty. Now, there was a photo tacked to the wall. Gregory didn’t need to look too closely to recognize the photo to be of one of his old schoolmates. X’s over the eyes were a touch that, somehow, made the photo less obnoxious to him... at least, until he continued on to the living room to see more photos had been hung up. ‘Let it go,’ he told himself, deciding that move in day was not the time to throw a fit. At least not before he’d already planned another move, if that was what he’d end up deciding to do.... But, besides the art, the place was nice. It had that historic, unique feel that Gregory adored.
“My land! What is that?” There went the whole plan to just ‘let it go’ already. He was going to say hello to Scott, only to see the older male working on some sort of taxidermy. “It... it is quite unique, hm.” setting down the suitcases to move later on, Gregory knelt down beside Scott to get a better look at the pig. “A request, if I may?” he wore a slight smile, giving himself permission to say his piece, “The eyes really should be closed to avoid the moving painting effect.”
