How he had managed to get himself into detention was probably going to be a discussion for the ages. Apparently, it was frowned upon to hex your classmates, even when they really did deserve it. So McGonagall, the old hag, had decided that his detention would consist of writing lines. He would have preferred to clean cauldrons in the dungeons, but she had apparently figured that out.
When he’d entered the classroom, there was nobody else there, which was probably for the better. He preferred detention without onlookers. So when the door opened and someone else came in, he groaned, muttered “Merlin’s beard” under his breath, and rolled his eyes, all before he had even noticed it was someone from his own House. He knew who it was, hell /everyone/ in Slytherin probably knew who the guy was. He’d made sure of that. And with all the side-hustles the guy had going on, almost everyone had had an encounter at one point or another. But to say he could remember his /name/…
“So what are you here for?”
