Modular magic. spells are created through a small set of base materials. There are materials that control the element the spell is attuned with such as fire or earth, and other materials determine what the spell does, such as create, body, or mind. A fire create spell, would create fire in some manner, while an earth mind spell might shield the mind against unwanted influence.
