UNI UPDATE WEEK #5

NOW!! Finally a month has been done and gone, thank GODS. It was a very fun week!! Though I was really tired every day, haha. I kind of just spent my time reading fanfiction and didn't really study or do homework.. oops. All this week, after 1 pm, I didn't have class, so it was very light and awesome.

Monday! You know the evaluated workshop we have to do for my intro class? The one I've been mentioning for forever? yeah? that one? yes, okay. IT WAS DELAYED AGAIN. IT'S BEEN LIKE 3 WEEKS. Finally, it is supposed to be this week. So fucking stupid istg. We've been seeing the same content from the first class over and over again. I am so sick of being trapped in this jail of a class.

So class was boooring. And math as well. BUT!! After class, we went out with my uni friends!!! It was so funnn, we ate pizza, and it was sooo yummy. Then we went for boba, and it was amaazing as well!! We invited this very quiet kid, M, to go with us, and he agreed! He was very fun, though it was hard to maintain a conversation with him as he volunteered 0 information, oops. He tried, though, so it was fun.

Tuesday, there were some first-year activities, and they were canceled, booo. It was kind of sad and pathetic, ngl. Had tutoring, and lowk I need more. Boring day, not much to tell.

Wednesday, we did a mock of the aforementioned workshop, and I think my group did well. Something I've neglected to mention is that I am currently very sick, timeline-wise, as I write this post; only a few symptoms remain. AND I GOT MY MATH GRADE!! MADE A POST HERE!! I was so excited, there is a video of me live reacting, and you can hear my friends and part of the classroom CLAPPING. That's how good a grade it was for that bastard of a test.

Thursday, I found out the girl I found attractive does weird drugs, so we are no longer fantasizing about a potential friendship or anything of the sort. Sigh. Might do a post about it later on because I have a "cool" idea (AKA copy our goat Jessica Mc.) Also, I met up with pas' friend! There were some activities on his campus, so we managed to meet up yayyy. I saw my friend L play volleyball and win!! Very fun day.

Friday, it was a cool day. The light went out for like 15 minutes right at the beginning of class, so we were so hopeful they would cancel it.. It was our only class of the day too, but welp!! Phone flashlight saves the day I guess.

as pas mentions here, we met up!! I did fall asleep too; we were very tired. I got home to sleep and read fanfic...

Saturday, PAS AND I MET UP AGAIN!! THIS TIME TO GO BUY COOL SHIT! I'm sure we'll do a post, and I'll link it here when it happens, but I am so so so happy to say we found so much fanart of my favorite gays ATM: wwx and lwj!! So now my life is so happy.

And today, sunday, I did all my studying + worked w my mom yay!! boring day ngl.

Next week isssss: Monday: Workshop, Excel test, and meeting with R to build the next presentation. Wednesday: Workshop pt 2. Friday: Math quiz. Throughout the week, R and I will be meeting more, but I still don't know when. huuuuuge sigh. I just want to read fanfiction...

UNI UPDATE WEEK #10 & 11!! + Monday

HAII. yes. so. You might be wondering WHY I didn't post the uni updates these past few weeks...

I kind of stayed home and did nothing.

for two weeks.

So I lost track of time!

To no one's surprise, I just spent the first day of week 10 doing silly doodles that have been posted, like the yay spending two weeks home and the playlist one, then... nothing! Just reading Wangxian fanfics! And staying up until 4 am to wake up at 2 pm! bed rotting fr!

By week 2, aka week 11 of uni, there was a change!

I woke up on Monday, 10 am, to find an email calling for people to work as monitors at a conference to be held on the 24th and 25th. One thing about me? I LOVE CONFERENCES. I THRIVE IN THESE SPACES!! The socializing is amazing!! I have MANY friends from conferences that I participated in HS, who I keep in frequent contact with!

So I signed up IMMEDIATELY!

The rest of the week, hoping to get selected, I started a painting for my childhood best friend! It took me 16 hours...

I already gave it to her, and she loved it!! It is now up on her wall!! So cool.

When painting, I caught up with the hit podcast Distractible, hit podcast Hard Launch, and Markiplier's Let's Play of Subnautica 2, and I watched Smosh Mouth 143! Very funny ep. When I wasn't painting, I was reading the manga of Cherry Magic! and watching the donghua of MDZS, so DAMN WAS IT A GOOD WEEK.

Friday, you can read here that I went to the interview, got selected, and was in a team of 15 people! So cool. I mistook friendship for flirting, and I will make separate posts for silly things that happened at the conference.

Saturday was fun! After working for less than 3 hours, I went to my HS besties' place, met up with the gang, got bday presents!! so cute, and slept over.

I had to wake up at 5:30 am to make it to the scheduled Uber at 6:15 to get to uni by 7 am! We set everything up for the conference, and I was on a team of 4 to register people at the conference! It was fun, I registered very important people, I was so nervous!! I stuttered a lot. I will make a separate post for when I snapped at one of my teammates.

By the afternoon, I had already talked to a few cool people, and I was in charge of one of the vans that took attending international members on a sightseeing trip around the city! I, very smart and awesome, kind of accidentally ended up in a van with THE MOST important people of the whole conference, made friends with them, and even taught them local slang! I got home close to 10 pm, sigh

Monday, we had to be there at 8 am, so I woke up at 6:30! yay. Kind of did a bunch of NOOOTHINGGG, then by 9:50 I took a very fun lady to the coffee break, and we chatted for like 20 minutes or more? She was so cool, I wish I had gotten her card or something. Then, at 10:30, I went to the session that the international ladies from the van invited me to!! It was about women in pub. admin, and resilience. Oh my god, I loved it. Maria, whom I'm name-dropping, oops, lovely Bulgarian lady, at the end of her speech, said, "We, the women of the present, have to keep building for the women of the future." AND SHE POINTED AT ME, DO YOU HEAR ME CRY AND SCREAM AHHHHH. It was so cute and awesome. The most important lady of the conference also said something along those lines and ALSO LOOKED AT ME DIRECTLY IN THE EYES SO COOL AND AWESOME AND CUTE. I seriously made friends with THE coolest people!!

At the end of the closing ceremony, the aforementioned most important lady thanked us students for our incredible performance, attitude, and disposition, WHILE LOOKING AT ME DIRECTLY!! SHE CALLED US AWESOME AND WAS LOOKING AT ME IN MY BIG OL' EYES.

Me, 99% of the conference. It was cold asf, so I was wearing a scarf the entire time lmao

After saying goodbye to Maria, she took me to the side AND GAVE ME A GIFT. SHE ONLY GAVE !!ME!! A GIFT. SO SWEET.

Honestly, it was such a great experience, and I made very good friends with my team as well. So cool, so cool!!!!!

This week, #12, I have class from Wednesday to Friday! thank GOD. I needed the time to rest, and the student strike is finally over! Hopefully it stays that way.

To-do list:

Study every single subject. I need to get back on track.

Thursday, I go to another city FOR A CONFERENCE! I know! So cool!

Today is my birthday!!! I turned 19!!!

It is the end of the day rn, so oops. But I made a little me with a cake in Krita to celebrate!! I had a very fun and busy day, so that is why I'm coming (almost belatedly) to tell you this.

But yay! btw, pas is a fake friend, never listen to a word pas says ever (pas forgot to say happy bday to me)

I'm new to krita and it took me a bit to set it up.. but I did it!!

Yay!! it was a really sweet day, so happy to share it with you all 🫶

UNI UPDATE WEEK #9

ONE DAY LATE, I AM SO SORRY. This week destroyed me... I woke up with my laptop still on the bed.. thankfully it didn't fall.

I've been so stupidly busy. Since last week, I've been studying for my law class test, worth 35% of my grade... coffee after coffee.

doodle made half in paint and then I realized I needed layers for this to work (I use jspaint, the website.) so i moved to krita, i think it looks good ! (Copium, I spent TOO long drawing this.)

I DIGRESS. I studied a lot. I didn't even study in HS!! All I did was practice math! not study! So I kinda went insane. The day of my test, wednesday, I skipped 2 classes to just keep it going.

I did kind of ass. I am begging to get a passing grade.

so the feeling this entire week was:

doodle I made on a random paper while studying, made digital through krita once again (i've fallen in love with it)

Huge news we're in student strike... so i did the test, got to eat pizza with my uni friends and since then I've been home and studying for this week... but (for now) I don't have class until wednesday, when I will have 3 whole ass tests like no yeah this is so normal (i voted against the strike, bc i found it silly, I am NOT sorry.)

I also worked with my mom from Friday to Sunday, so that is why I was incredibly tired and didn't have time to do the weekly post!! No separators this time because all I did was study, sighhh.

Since I stopped posting every day (and sometimes multiple times a day) I feel so empty and sad, I miss y'all!!! I feel like that one friend that keeps saying we should hang out without actively doing anything to change it but saying it out loud every time they get the chance (I am also that friend IRL) :(

UNI UPDATE WEEK #6

HAIII!!

This week really was something... I kind of don't remember anything apart from strong feelings of despair and perpetual boredom.

But anyways!

Monday! After we (pnp) went to the little event on Saturday, I had an incredibly cool #updated carabiner. So I've been parading around my keys with TWO HEART-SHAPED KEYCHAINS. One of a veeeryy cute fanart of wangxian and another one of one of my fav official arts of wwx + another keychain. SO. I HAD MY LOUD ASS CARABINER ON ME. AND I HAD A SOUTH PARK TSHIRT ON. AND WE NEEDED TO PRESENT IN FRONT OF THE CLASS. AND I FULLY FORGOT ABOUT THAT. It was some short thing for intro, nothing I needed to study for, but it was definitely embarrassing!! So I kind of died inside when I stepped to the front.. oops.

That same day was my Excel exam!! I was SOOO nervous, but they cancelled my law class, which was exactly after lunch and before the test, so I had from like 1:30 to 4:15 to study, lmaoo. It went okay, I think!! I had to ask the teacher to pls let me do the whole thing on my laptop bc I couldn't figure out how to do it on the uni computers. He gladly accepted, so I think full marks are coming my way! hopefully!

Tuesday! Very chill day, I had tutoring in the afternoon, which was with the girl from my girl kisser troubles... erm.. I'm still kind of panic-ridden with her because she is so attractive; my brain sort of short-circuits when I see her smile, oh my god. oh my god i'm such a loser lesbian. I had a mini interaction with her and. i'll just leave you with this doodle i just did.

anyways, this same day I started to get pissed with R, guy I have a presentation with for the 28th, because since this day he has been high key not answering my texts. rude!! so i kind of have done nothing of the project.

Wednesday! We had a very special one-of-a-kind figure on campus for a conference... and I DIDN'T GET A SPOT!!! AND I TEARED UP A BIT OUT OF SADNESS AND FRUSTRATION BECAUSE IT WAS REALLY A ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY AND OH MY GOD!!!! SO FRUSTRATING

Thursday! It was... a shit day. I felt horrible from the morning, and I did kind of tear up on my way to uni because of all the feelings I was feeling, and it got worse when I thought that maybe uni would be far more fun with Pookie twin, who moved back to her country on the other side of the world as soon as HS ended. I don't know, I was feeling so sad that I didn't spend as much time with her as I would've liked. So yeah, I just kind of cried. while eating bread with ham and cheese. at 9 am, stuck in public transport. yeah.

I didn't even want to go to uni that day, but my mom forced me to. It takes me half an hour to get to uni, and my only class barely lasted 45 minutes. So to treat myself, I bought iced coffee, which reminds me of aforementioned pookie twin, and lowkey that fixed me. I spent the day texting R, trying to communicate with him, and he has not gotten back to me about ANYTHING I told him. So yeah. I still have not worked on that project out of pure spite. Then, the rest of the afternoon, I kind of internally cried about the whole math quiz we had the next day while trying to comprehend at least half of the material. Ended up falling asleep after 2 am, when I had to wake up at 7, oops.

Friday!! I woke up, showered, and left the house early. I had my math test that was in pairs, and my friend J who is so lovely did it with me! I'm so sure we are going to pass with flying colours and maybe even get full marks!!

Later, I met with one of my HS friends! We had planned to meet on Saturday with our group of friends, but coincidentally had matching schedules, so I spent a good time with her before heading to TS' house, who is my pookie as well. I spent an amazing time with her, we played Tomodachi Life demo and then on saturday she bought the actual game, and her family took me out to dinner at a delicious Chinese restaurant, ñamm. I slept over at her house, zzz.

Saturday, I woke up, and TS and I had an amazing breakfast, our friends made it to lunch, and we stayed together until 6 pm, when I went to work with my mom. But yeah!! We were celebrating the bday of a friend + mine! So they sang us happy bday and we gave her presents, my friends forgot to bring the things they got for me, boo, but it is okay. I couldn't ask for a better present than their company; knowing I was going to meet with them got me through the week.

And today I woke up and read fanfiction all morning, so I could get some work done in the afternoon, which I did.. kind of. oops.

But it has been good! I'll probably get another iced coffee on tuesday.. it was so good.

Next week is!!

Friday, I need to have a workshop done (that is in pairs.. I'm supposed to do it with C2, but I don't want to, so hopefully I will do it with P).

And for exciting news!! THURSDAY IS MY BIRTHDAYYYYYY!! I'm going to turn 19!!! So that same day, my uni friends will take me out to eat, on Friday I'm going home w pas, and later meeting for dinner with my childhood gang. Then, on sat we're going to the beach to celebrate my grandma's bday! So it is a busy week. We'll see how it goes!
