It's time to start thinking about how YOU are going to celebrate this month-long festival of squid.

Here are some appropriate ways to celebrate:

🦑 Get a squid tattoo (or maybe just doodle one on with a pen that's ok too)

Soooo... get this: the squids you're looking at right now ARE MADE OF GLASS! They were created by the renowned 19th-century glass artists Leopold and Rudolf Blaschka (father and son!), and you can find 251 images of these incredible pieces on the Cornell Collection of Blaschka Invertebrate Models on JSTOR, open and free to everyone.

I almost splatted them… I stopped and remembered my roots… I was confused. Dazed even. I had forgotten the squid party ways. They offered their hands and said: it’s ok we will show you once more.

And then they were splatted in front of my eyes. War is disastrous for everyone…

I think the people who said that this was their worst splatfest experience so far are not being dramatic and here's why:

(yes, I picked white chocolate)

1) A lot of the players from dark and white chocolate were kind of mean and kept spawncamping and squidbagging ya'll, especially white chocolate. I've seen it in clips and in person from white chocolate and I've been squidbagged by team dark chocolate myself.

2) Some of the more experienced and higher ranked players either picked white or dark chocolate. I saw a lot of the x rank badges from both teams.

3) A lot of players ended up picking white chocolate for the ink color because of the inappropriate substance it looks like. That's just what happens when most of the game's fanbase is made up of teens and preteens. Teens and preteens are going to be a bit immature because they're kids and that's what they're supposed to do.

4) Some of the maps made it really hard to push the enemy team out of base. It's really hard to regain mid once it's been overtaken.

5) Players who didn't choose white chocolate came in with the expectation of losing. Which made it harder to deal with the losses as splatfest progressed. I feel like that might have messed with your head a bit and made it so that you might not have been playing at your best.

And I'm sorry to anyone that had to deal with any mean players no matter what team you were on. I know the vibes of this fest were WAY off. I'm also sorry for team milk chocolate, guys were done dirty from the start and none of that is your fault. Just remember that it's all just a game and won't mean anything in about a week from now. Remember to take a break from the game if you need one and stay hydrated 🫶🏾

Play the game as normal, kill the partiers. Parties should stay in Priv. Battles

Ignore the party and just ink turf around them

Party with them a little bit, but mostly just ink turf around them

Party with them for the match, leave the lobby afterwards

Party with them for multiple matches/as long as you can
