…
One moment he was screaming his lungs out to “STOP!”, the next he was flying in the air as leftover gunpowder spread quickly outwards causing an explosion. It wasn’t an uncommon sight but not a very welcome one. He was met welcomely by the ground with a thump.
His exposed back landed roughly on the mix of dirt, stone, and whatever was left of his belongings now shredded. He sat up in an instant, but he was met with a sharp pain as his back was now bruised, it ached. He looked up to see a blur of a familiar smiley face walking away.
His eyebrows furrowed; he could feel a warm liquid drip down his cheeks. He clenched his teeth, the inside of his mouth tasted of iron, it disgusted him. But that wasn’t entirely his focus, his body was hyperventilating, he couldn’t get a proper intake of air.
He breathed quickly; air barely wanted to stay situated in his body. He couldn’t concentrate on one thing, his mind screamed at him to hide, run but he knew it’d be useless at this point. Dream was already gone; it would be useless to hide unless it was the dead of night.
Which it wasn’t, but that didn’t help he had done it again. Every time the ringing in his ears didn’t stop for a while, he couldn’t help but cry, he wanted to go home, he wanted Tubbo. He wanted Wilbur but of course, whatever he had was gone.
Which included his beloved compass along with his older brother’s coat. It wasn’t the first time Dream had done it, exploded his belongings, materials, and weapons to defend himself. But this time was different, these items had sentimental value to Tommy, they were important...
And that’s why it hurt so much to let them go. He never wanted to say goodbye. His brother lost all too soon to pathetic insanity and Tubbo too stressed under the pressure of leadership and democracy.
It didn’t really help that they were probably the closest people, Tommy ever had in his life. Maybe if had done better, maybe if he wasn’t stupid, maybe if he hadn’t been so idiotic and exploded George’s house, he’d be safe in his little dirt hut.
He knew there was Ghostbur, but every time he looked at the ghost, he could only be reminded of what remained of his brother, the brother that once loved. He knew things could’ve been different if he tried hard enough, but nobody could reverse time.
He knew there was Techno, but of course, why would he trust such a ‘traitorous pig’? Or the man he wished to call ‘Dad’…
He felt so overwhelmed, he let out a yelp and desperately tried to crawl out of the hole. His hands continued to lose strength as they lost size. Fortunately, he managed to scramble out of the now giant hole.
He felt so tired, he ended up crawling towards a nearby tree and curling into a ball…
…
He snapped out of it; he had no idea where he was. He pulled out the journal he had on hand and looked through it with a sigh, it was another unwanted ender walk. He looked at the most recent entry to find it uncompleted.
The last entry that was written was Tommy’s name surprisingly, he remembered the boy slightly as his husband's best friend and the one who had taken the blame for him when they exploded George’s house together.
Strange though, perhaps he was worried about Tommy in exile or something, though it wouldn’t hurt to visit the boy if he had any idea where he was that is. It was midday and he was surrounded by a field of flowers, oddly enough.
There was one flower that stood out to him though, a contrasting lilac color compared to other bright colors around. It was an allium, for whatever reason, every time he thought of those flowers it reminded him of Tommy…
He smiled, deciding that the flowers would be a nice gift for Tommy. He started to pick multiple of the flowers. Although only remembering minor things, these flowers brought on a sense of déjà vu for Ranboo, as if these flowers had significance. He feels the familiarity of good luck around them for some reason.
Fortunately, after a while of wondering, he found himself not too far off Logstedshire. As if his ender walking self was making way there anyways. Happily, he walked down the path, only to find the once study and beautifully built logs of Logstedshire gone, the remains only being ash and holes.
His eyes widened in fear slightly, what could’ve caused the holes? Creepers? But the holes were far too large unless set off by multiple, in which he doubted that Tommy was stupid enough to bring multiple creepers to a place he found refuge in, he would most probably die doing it…
Oh god… What if Tommy was dead?! He quickly brought out his communicator in search of a death message and found none. So, Tommy was indeed alive but where? He could most probably be injured somewhere.
As he walked through the wreckage, he analyzed that these explosions were not recent, they had taken place a while ago. So, if the fact was that Tommy wasn’t here, where was he? He quickly scanned the surrounding trees to see a clearing, one that lead to the seaside.
Maybe he was there?
With newfound adrenaline, he made way to find Tommy. Finding multiple new holes and wreckages of buildings Tommy built. He could only hope that the boy was safe, considering his ‘condition’. It was strange Ranboo had to admit, he had never seen it happen himself.
But he remembered vaguely that Tubbo would tell stories of Tommy, especially ones that he found a tiny boy sobbing against cave walls. In which he would have to cuddle the boy to cheer him up to turn back to normal size.
He knew Tommy tried to act all high and mighty when he was overall just a softie who couldn’t help but care for his friends and be clingy. So many times, he had saved Tubbo and he wondered if he and Tommy could have a similar bond.
He clutched the flowers slightly as he saw no sign of Tommy. He continued to search and eventually, a strong scent of gunpowder hit his nostrils. It wasn’t recent but most definitely lingering. He wandered towards the hole that smelt of the stench.
And immediately he noticed tried bloody cloth at the bottom of the hole, and no sign of Tommy. He knew Tommy wasn’t dead so where could he be? He had to be nearby as a tiny wouldn’t be able to get far on his own…
In a panic, he called out for the tiny….
…
He was most definitely caught off guard by the familiar voice, his head shot up as he looked around in a daze. In the distance, he was Ranboo searching for him. A part of him wanted to stay silent, not wanting to be found and hide. Tommy never wanted anybody to see him vulnerable.
But then again, Ranboo was a friendly face, although he still felt defensive around the boy. He recognized Ranboo was no harm and was slowly opening up to Ranboo at the time of the incident. But he didn’t want to be seen, he wanted to cry.
But then again, the words of someone friendly and comfort were definitely something he needed at the moment, and with reluctance. Yelled back out for the Enderman hybrid. He knew Ranboo had sensitive ears, so he would definitely be heard.
He could see Ranboo’s ears twitch, and his head turned towards Tommy. He could see Ranboo was definitely in a rush as Ranboo was practically sprinting towards him. As Ranboo was close, he knelt not too far from Tommy and reached out his hand to pick up Tommy.
As the hand was reached out towards him, with reluctance. He stepped onto the hand with crossed arms. Almost in an instant, he was brought towards Ranboo’s face, in which he almost lost balance due to the dizziness.
“Tommy!”, Ranboo let out in a sigh of relief. Grumpily, Tommy replied. “What do you want, Ranboob? What the fuck are you doing out here?”. Ranboo then brought out his other hand to reveal a slightly crumbled allium flower. “I brought you flowers?...”.
It was clear that Ranboo was nervous as his speech sounded more like a rhetorical question if anything. But the tall hybrid was always anxious socially. Tommy never paid too much mind to it unless he found it ‘irritating’.
He knew that Ranboo couldn’t have just come to bring him some dumb flowers, but with the panicked expression, he could clearly see that Ranboo was concerned, over what though? His safety?
“Oh fuck off with that shit! I know you wouldn’t just walk out miles just to bring me a singular flower, Bitch.”. Awkwardly, Ranboo fumbled with the flower in his other hand and stuttered, “I- uh”. It was definitely adding to Tommy’s case of the visit being suspicious.
“I-“, Ranboo cleared his throat and blurted out, “I don’t know! I was worried?! I think?”. Now, that definitely caught Tommy off guard. He wasn’t sure how to respond. Why would Ranboo be concerned over him? He had no reason to be.
“Why the fuck would you be worried about me?”, he asked with a heavy annoyance in his tone. Ranboo seemed a bit more anxious than before, “I don’t remember much, but nobody heard much from you. I guess I wanted to check up on you?”.
Right, Ranboo had memory problems. He almost forgot about it, he remembered the boy always kept a journal on him and was constantly writing in it in case he had to remember something. With a sigh, he slumped his shoulders. He had enough, he couldn’t be bothered to put up with it much as he’d like.
Ranboo looked upset, “I’m sorry if I-“, he cut off the boy. “Shut it”, though he did not blurt it out or say it with malice. If anything it was quiet and gentle. “Tommy, are you okay?”. With no response he just curled in onto Ranboo’s hand, hugging his thumb.
In return, Ranboo began to rub circles on Tommy’s back with his thumb gently, as Ranboo saw a massive bruise on his back. He knew Ranboo wasn’t stupid and could probably piece the puzzle together.
It was a calming silence for a while, he did find it strange that Ranboo wasn’t questioning his size but put it to the side for the time being…
…
It was clear to Ranboo that something dreadful had happened, but he knew better than to mind his own business. If Tommy wanted to talk, he could. But it was obvious the fact he was indeed hurt, and something was clearly wrong.
He hoped to note it down in order not to forget. He gently put the crumbled flower to the size and checked his inventory and was relieved to find a healing potion. He offered to Tommy, in which the boy sat up and drank what he could.
Soon, the large bruise on his back healed ever so slightly, to a point where it was green. He just hoped it wouldn’t ache the boy…
He looked more around the area, clearly, there was no shelter, and Tommy was barely covered in his own rags that were torn. He clearly had nothing on him and if he didn’t take the boy with him, he could most probably starve in this state.
…
After drinking the potion, he could feel his exhaustion catching upon him as he wanted to fall asleep onto Ranboo’s hand. Though, he knew he wouldn’t be able to sleep as night would soon draw near. He thought back on some memories.
He missed the days of L’manberg, when Tommy was just simply an orphan from the streets that Wilbur picked up and raised. And not only that but kept him safe…
Safe…
He stood up and looked to Ranboo, who looked panicked as his eyes glowed in the sunset. “Ranboo”, the hybrid looked to Tommy in concern and brought the boy closer to his face to converse. “What’s wron-“.
…
He was cut off when Tommy suddenly opened his mouth and began to climb inside, he was caught off guard in surprise. In an instant, Ranboo moved his hand over to pick up Tommy to bring him out of his mouth.
Then hesitated when he felt Tommy lay on his tongue, the taste of metal, dirt and stone hitting his taste buds, with a hint of strawberry. He then heard the words, “Just close your mouth, Bitch boy.”. He wanted to spit him out, he wanted to retaliate.
“As much as I know you want to spit me out right now, we both know that if I’m out there. You can’t defend yourself keeping an eye on me, and I’ll most likely die. I used to do this shit with Wilbur and Tubbo before, I’ll be fine”.
With a slight sigh of relief, Ranboo closed his mouth with reluctance, minding his teeth cautiously. And after a minute of consideration, deciding he was most probably too far into this mess to back out now. He licked at Tommy.
He found the taste slightly salty, but it was a nice mix. Tommy needed a wash anyway and quickly he began to lick quickly at Tommy. He actually began to enjoy it as the taste quickly turned to one of sweets and strawberries. The taste is enough to make Ranboo purr.
“You enjoying this, Ranboo?”. Ranboo huffed out of his nose as he couldn’t reply, he wasn’t even sure that Tommy would’ve heard it, but he continued to lick at the boy. Without realizing that he was most definitely been indulging himself a bit much.
…
Although he didn’t mind the playful tongue tossing him around, he was getting tired and running out of energy, so he punched the top of Ranboo’s mouth to get his attention, and Ranboo did indeed stop. He couldn’t help but notice the amount of saliva dripping.
“Okay, I know I taste amazing Ranboob, but I think it was about time you swallowed.”. It took a minute but eventually, Ranboo titled his head back and swallowed. Sending Tommy into a hole that led to Ranboo’s esophagus.
Ranboo’s throat was tight as the muscles of his throat pulled him down. It squeezed at Tommy’s skin with he found slightly relaxing, much like a massage. And soon the sensation was gone as he fell into a much bigger space.
Trying to find a space, he rubbed at the walls, and in response, he was immediately pressed up against the wall by Ranboo’s hand. Loudly he could hear the Ender Hybrids voice echo along with his thunderous heartbeat and the lungs breathing in and out quickly.
“Are you okay Tommy?!”, he sounded out of breath, “I’m fine Bitch Boy! Stop squeezing me!”. Immediately the pressure lifted, “S-sorry”. Tommy sighed and rolled his eyes, “It’s fine, now worry about yourself, it’s almost night.”.
He felt the room shift and soon turned into gentle rocking as Ranboo walked. Finally, Tommy let out a sigh of relief, finally able to find peace somewhere quiet and safe. With a smile, he rubbed at the stomach walls, in return got a small purr and vibration spreading throughout the room.
Maybe he was being a bit soft but, maybe Ranboo wasn’t so bad. And with that, he leaned back against the wall. His back thanked him. The stomach walls pressed in on him slightly as Ranboo rubbed his stomach, Tommy rubbed back.
And finally, exhaustion caught hold onto him as his tired arm slowed down its pace, and soon fell onto the floor beside him as he snored. Ranboo continued to purr.
“Goodnight, Tommy…”
