Dino/ Fried Squid

“Look, look!” Dino looks back at you and smiles as he drags you over to the CD store display. 

His grip on your hand is tight, but you smile to yourself because you think it’s cute how excited he is. A large Michael Jackson tour poster is plastered onto the store’s glass window and Dino is taking pictures of it. “Isn’t he amazing? Look at that energy!” Dino sighs contentedly. 

You wait patiently as he continues to admire the poster. The busy street is packed with people Friday night and today is no exception. Smoke rises from the food stands and the aroma of delicious street snacks accompanies the relaxed atmosphere. As you look around, you see a fried squid stand.

“Hey, do you want some fried squid?” You ask.

“Huh?” He turns around. “Sure, let’s go.”

Hand in hand, you two walk over to the stand and order two fried squid on sticks. The strong scent wafts into your nose and you suddenly feel really hungry as you watch the woman behind the counter dip your fried squids into some sauce. “That’ll be 5,000 won.”

Dino slips his hand out of yours to reach for his wallet. After he pays, you thank the lady and walk away. 

“This tastes good.” Dino smiles. 

You smile in return. Dino subtly interlaces your fingers as you walk further down the street.
