Your Sapphire cosplay is amazing!!! If I may ask: How did you style the wig and what lipstick did you use? It looks absolutely awesome!!!
Thank you! For the wig I brushed out a long curly wig, and cut the bangs so they were much too long on my face, and curled/hairsprayed them to get the sideswept look! Sorry it wasn’t anything too fancy, I am still really new to wigs.
Hey girl, I just want to say that your cosplay is freaking amazing! My sister wants to cosplay as suicidal teddy bear for a SPN convention and I was wondering if you have any advice?? or if you are willing to make one for purchase? Thanks!!
Thank you so much! My stuff is definitely not at the level i would be okay with selling to people sorry. For advice tho, I would say make sure you put a fucking fan in the head holy shit also do not wear in summer and if you do hydrate like your life depends on it because it probably does.
But in all reals, this was my first time ever doing something like this, I have a few photos in my tag, but there's a few steps missing so here's a kinda run down of how i did it.
Cut out 3 circles our of pink insulation foam(you could also use cardboard, or really anything so lng as you can cut it and it's not too heavy) that are the size you want the head. These will be used to make a sphere shape. I cut out shapes so my head will fit in it. and then cut and glued them until they made the frame of the sphere. using tinfoil(i would definitely use something more rigid) i covered the head space and then used expanding insulation foam.
Carved it down to shape. use the skeleton as reference. carve out where you will be able to see out of. I looked out through the nose.
Draw out features/figure out sizes, and how they need to fit to your base.
Covered it in fibre fill. glue that shit down. cut out a space for your muzzle and ears. both are just carved insulation foam with fibre fill and covered in fabric. i shittly cast resin eyes and painted them
For the body I used an old mascot pattern we had lying around i think from simplicity? i altered it a bit so the zipper was on the back, and it was a bit fatter and so the gloves were attached.
to make me fatter it was literally just a huge sweatshirt with another sweatshirt sewed to the inside(smaller of course), filled with soft foam chunks. has the benefit of turning you into a furnace
have someone around her to act as a guide because i couldn't see shit a significant portion of the time so having someone to make sure you don't walk into everything is a godsend.
you cannot operate a touch phone without talking your arm off. keep that in mind.
take a fucking water bottle TAKE A WATER BOTTLE OR YOU WILL DIE.
again try not to in the middle of fucking summer i was in it on the hottest day of the year i drank 9 water bottles and had my head off frequently and i still almost gave myself heatstroke.
so yeah that's kinda how i did it. most of it's only cause i was more comfortable in the materials than i was in others and things i already had available so there's a lot of ways you could be doing this so good luck and seriously on the heat thing be careful.
whats ur favorite pokemon
flygon?
Hello there! I saw your Ravio cosplay and I must say, you did an amazing job! One of the best I've seen so far! But, if you don't mind, can you give me some tips on how you did it? Especially the mask/hat piece.
I don't mind at all! I've actually been asked a few times, it's p funny.
The base is made from one of those cheap camping mats that I cut and glued into a cylinder, then just hacked away at and glued together until it was the shape I wanted it to be, though there were a few large holes at the top.
I then drew out where I wanted the eyes on it (which is not a thing to do at three am let me tell you it's creepy as fuck) and cut them out(try to keep them whole and hold onto them). Then I coated it in spray adhesive(like the photomounting stuff) and covered it in polyfill(the sheets not fluff) and then covered that in fabric and glued it to the bottom and sewed it on the top.
The ears are a double layer of the camp foam, covered in polyfill and covered in fabric. They are attached to the hat by a wire going about 3 inched into the ear and two inches into the hat and just continually reinforced inside until it remained in place.
Eyes are what got cut out, with the pupils removed and covered in nylon and painted, then with a trim of craft foam glued on and shoved into the eyeholes and glue in place. The gold trim on the outside is this neat shit called flexglue that's white glue that dried flexible which is then painted gold! Teeth are more foam.
So yeah, that's how I threw it together. ALSO keep in mind that the eyes will look and continue to look creepy as fuck until you get the gold trim on them. Just be warned

5)When did you first get into pokemon?
I've been watching the anime since I was small, I reemember watching the first few episodes on tv, and playing since heartgold, but the first one I really got into with the hype and everything was with black and white, and then four times as much in X & Y, so I guess it all really depends as what you qualify as "getting in to"
13)What areas do you like best?
Water areas and grassy fields. Mainly if it's open large and sunny I like it.
16)What trainer history do you imagine having?
I honestly don't know? I don't think a lot would change in terms of me, I had an intense love of certain animals as a child and I think that would transfer over to pokemon really easily. I don't think I would travel until later in life, but I think I would aquire many many pokemon over the course of them. Probably not battle, more into coordination and/or breeding though than pokemon battles. I'm not too sure.
21) Where would you like to see a region based on?
Newfoundland! It's viciously beautiful and has the variety of landscapes like many regions, dense forest, mountain, plains, plateau, etc. and the towns actually do only have like ten people in them. Also then they would need to have a giant squid pokemon legendary and my life would be complete.
i wOULD LOVE TO JOIN BUT IM ALSO REALLY POOR AND IN CALIFORNIA BUT I CAN SING AND COSPLAY HOLY SHIT?
We appreciate your enthusiasm, but we are actually already fully cast and have been rehearsing for quite some time so we wouldn't be able to take you up on your offer even if distance was not a factor. That said, we invite you to keep up with our page as we will be making updates as we continue to get closer to our performances and will release a full cast album and a recording of the show!
