I don't rly have any hot takes abt rodents (except that rats are the best ones). I do get irritated when I see ppl mix up r. rattus and r. norvegicus tho.

also, fun fact! the giant rats seen in cities are sometimes Gambian pouched rats brought in as pets and they are an invasive species in Florida! these r the same kinds of rats that can detect tb and land mines ☺

02. What is one of your character’s biggest insecurities? Are they able to hide it easily or can others easily exploit this weakness? 

kitty def has a lot of insecurities related to her mom, like for example when razul (an npc in kittys campaign for those unaware) was like “wow what a catch u got, finding someone who just relies on their mother” that bothered her SOOOO much. because shes been trying so hard to separate herself from her mom and prove she can live w/o her... so for someone then to go like “:) haha look at u, relying on ur mom” is enough to get under her skin

the razul situation ESPECIALLY bothered her because he was kinda right in that instance. she has leaned on her moms sin city connections a few times throughout the campaign, and honestly i dont even think she realizes she does it. so just being confronted with that was enough to get her bristling 

plus just living up to her Mom’s Legacy is another insecurity in general. like kittys mom is brilliant, strong, gorgeous, and like all these things and kitty wonders a lot about how she stacks up against her. especially when she fails, she often feels like “i bet mom could have gotten out of this” which makes her feel worse

kitty’s also pretty cagey about romance after having been abandoned by spice. she hasnt fully processed that yet but would definitely be wondering throughout the relationship if her partner would just ditch her. 

in regards to how easy it would be to exploit that weakness: hmm.... i guess it more depends on someone actually knowing, first of all? because kittys generally cagey w/ most people, the situation w/ the party is pretty unique. but once they knew? probably not that difficult tbh though shed definitely try her hardest to act like she wasnt bothered

21. What is one of your character’s biggest fears? How would they react when dealing with this fear? 

being abandoned is def one of them. being betrayed by ppl she cares about is another. courtesy of dia of course. thanks dia sdsdfsg kitty mostly deals w/ these fears by keeping an emotional distance from others and also trying to be one step ahead of ppl

in general i think like being in a situation where she feels like shes not in control is also something she fears. like a situation where she cant get by on her looks, talents, or magic ability would be really scary for her. again, just trying to be one step ahead of ppl is a way she tries to get around that but obvs doesnt always work, and ppl do get the better of her sometimes.

also dying. that’s a big one!

49. What is something that your character has nightmares about? Are these frequent? Do they heavily affect your character’s mood?

sdfsdgh i can definitely say that her adventures have given her a lot of nightmare material. almost dying for the first time rly shook her a lot so she had nightmares about that. and just general nightmares about some of the Big Bad Monsters they’ve fought, only the fight goes much worse and everyone dies, or they get jumped in the middle of the night, etc etc things like that definitely

the ruby situation also really got to her. for those not in the know: ruby was a girl that kitty worked w/ as a saloon girl. kitty looked out for all the girls, ruby included and ruby was murdered. kitty was also there when they found her body :( kitty feels a lot of guilt just about that whole situation and will have nightmares about it

finally, of course, shell have nightmares about her mother. kittys got a lot of issues w/ her mom!
