This is ShopDog, a travelling salesdog. His store is a re-purposed shipping container that travels between both the Squissum and Splotter cities.
Unlike the other shop keepers he prefers Treats over traditional currency, which isn’t as easy to come by but is well worth the extra effort.
Some items are unique to each city, but thanks to ShopDog these international goodies can be yours!
This is the CityPod, the public transport of choice for Squissum & Splotter alike! It carries you from the city to battles and back.
The inside is designed to rotate freely, allowing the CityPod to ride hang from, or ride on a rail. As it pulls into the station, the rail moves to the bottom position which allows the door to rotate into place and allow access. This is my first time texturing with PBR materials and I’m pretty happy with the results! Lots of progress has been made in regards to character models too, but right now they’re un-textured (thus all you’ll see of them yet is this blurry picture). They’ll be properly shown off soon!
This is the GT-Pump, the proprietary tail pump of in-game brand, Gama-Tech.
The GT-Pump speeds up the process of connecting your tail to your weapon using the suction power of a centrifugal fan. It also speeds up tail disconnections using a blast from the Co2 canisters for ejection.
However, due to the large size of the pump itself, the GT-Pump is only used on larger weapons such as the Canadian Gattler.
We recently invested in graphics engine more powerful than Unity 5 alone which allows for real-time global illumination. Obviously I couldn’t help but take a few “glamour shots”~
They’re all taken in-game with no editing other than the logo. The results are looking good for a simple un-textured play area, and should look spectacular with the final fully-textured levels!
The new character models are nearing completion too, which blows our old low-poly models away. Patreons get a sneak-peak!
