Drafting Chapter 9 of Nothing Like Losing a Limb!! Should be posted tonight…
Sneak Peek under the cut~
“Thanks for picking us up,” Chris said. He leaned forward, hooking his fingers through the metal grate. “Did the station grant you your freedom for the night, or are you on a break?”
“I’m all yours for the night,” Noah returned, and the two of them caught each other’s eye in the mirror for another too-long second, before Noah looked back at the road and cleared his throat. “I haven’t told Stiles about you guys coming. I thought it’d be a fun surprise. Also, I doubt he would’ve gone to school, if he knew—and the kid went back too recently to be missing days.”
“I’ll get him,” Derek volunteered.
“Stiles will be thrilled,” Noah said. “Don’t think you’ll be getting any kinda personal space while you’re here.”
The very last thing Derek wanted was personal space, when it came to Stiles.
“We’ve got an hour or so until then. Do you guys wanna get food or something? We can swing through somewhere on the way home.”
“I could go for a sandwich from that place near—” Chris started, but Noah cut him off.
“You’re in jail right now, Chris; you don’t get to choose,” he teased. “Derek?”
“A spicy chicken sandwich sounds good.”
Noah hummed in agreement. “With fries.”
“Or a salad,” Derek suggested, to which Noah wagged a finger at him.
“Don’t you start, Derek Sebastian.”
