Unexpectedly his last relationship went up in smoke, so starting anything new or long term was the last thing on his mind. He wanted fun, or at least something to to distract his thoughts for at least the night. It had been a while since the Iowan found himself in a bar, but somehow he had allowed Matt to talk him into hanging out after a show one night. ‘Hey, man. You want anything from the bar?’ He asked. Once he got the other man’s reply he made his way over to the bar, almost knocking into someone who stood nearby. “Excuse me. Didn’t mean to bump into you there.” He said, flashing a charming smile at the women now standing next to him.

It was the start of November and already the Iowan was over everything. He had broken up with his girlfriend, and because of it he was forced to go to a Comic Con event along. The plan had been the two would do everything together, but the moment their relationship ended, somehow Becky managed to get out and on to another project. Colby sat there, waiting for his next signing to start up, alone, watching as the many people in costumes walked by, many with their significant others. The last person he expected to see was Jon. He watched as the other man neared his table, unable to stop himself from making a smart remark once the other man was within hearing distance of his table. “They just let anyone do these things now, eh?”

For the life of him, Colby couldn’t figure what the hell was wrong with his wife. And it seemed the harder he tried to brighten her mood, the more he seemed to piss her off. He sighed silently as he reached to pet Kevin under the table, taken back when he seen his wife make a dash for the bathroom. He made sure the burners were off under the food she had been preparing before following her over to the bathroom. He made sure to stand outside the door, but even with the door close he could hear her throwing up. “Babe? Do you need me to take you to the doctor?” He suggested, concern leaking through into his features as he waited for her answer.

His match at H.ell in a C.ell had taken it’s toll on his body more than he thought. But at least now, despite the reaction it had from the fans was in the books and over and he could spend some quality time with his wife. When he felt her hands along his back, a soft moan of approval escaped his lips. “Very.” He replied as he found himself leaning into her touch. “You don’t know how bad I needed this.”

( msg - delivered ): The airport wasn’t on lockdown, but there was a slight delay thanks to all of the snow.  ( msg - delivered ): I actually just touched down so I’ll be home soon. ( msg - delivered ): Any chance the kids are still up?

From the moment they became official, Colby had no doubt in his mind that Becky was the woman he was supposed to spend the rest of his life with. But did she feel the same way? Better yet, was it too soon to even consider the option of marriage? Those were just a few of the questions the Iowan had running through his mind as their plane landed in it’s destination. He and Becky were on a much needed vacation, and before the end of it, Colby had set it in his mind to proposal to her. “God, this place is beautiful.” He said as he took his shades off. He turned to face Becky, a grin present on his features. “What do you want to do first, babe? We can go get settled in the hotel or explore a bit.” He suggested.
