So apparently when you're blocked by another blog on Tumblr it looks like that blog doesn't exist to you unless you also have that blog blocked

“software engineers don’t make the site policies, stop blaming software engineers for what the owners decide!!” is a lot more compelling when the devs aren’t constantly doing obnoxious apologism for those company policies in their free time (without even being paid for doing so!)

e.g. certain weird former tumblr employees obfuscating that yes, the site actually does have a shadowban feature

or the way that the tumblr [ex-]devs on here have went out of their way to circle the wagons around their Harry Potter Fandom Adult co-worker (and justifying tumblr’s bizarre action against the person who made the original post about them)

etc. etc.
