Eventful, Would be an understatement, For the past hour. T'was A regular day at work, Standing in the bridge, Piloting this ship. Oh, what a turn of events. A star, An unstable one, Went super nova. Danger, Is a job description. Lives, Always on line. Death, imminent. But this, Was more Than what we bargained for. She blew, USS Spectrum, The pristine vessel, Blew. Us, adrift. All I have, Is ten minutes, Before life support fails. I know I promised, To take you to Tatooine. I know I promised, To watch that old movie, The one with star ships you love. I know I promised, A great life, With you being my everything. Sorry, I couldn't keep those promises . I rest now. Hoping, This recording reaches you. What is that light I see now?

Why Purple Premises?

Yep. So it begins. This is my first post and I'm gonna explain why I chose to name this blog “purple premises”.

So, let me break it down.

Purple.

Honestly speaking, I really didn't know what the colour stood for until I googled it. I was just searching for a word that rhymes with premises, so I thought of purple. And now, spending some time on google, I found the name pretty convincing.

An elementary knowledge of colours will tell you that purple can be obtained by mixing the colours red and blue. Red is a warm colour while blue is a cold colour. Purple stands in between. It retains the raging nature of red with the calmness of blue. Purple is the colour of Balance.

Purple in nature, is one of the hardest colours to come by. Also, it hits you hard in the eye, drawing your attention towards it. So when humans first synthesised this colour, its rarity and attractiveness meant that this colour was mainly used by the royalty. The purple craze went to such an extent that under the rule of Julius Caesar, it was decreed that only an emperor can use the colour purple. Purple is the colour of Royalty.

Many cultures interpret purple in different ways. For some, it is the colour of joy. While some consider it the colour of mourning. A spectrum of feelings can be associated with purple. Purple is the colour of Diversity.

Now onto the second word, Premises.

Well, there is nothing much to read into that right?

Premises, noun, an area occupied by any building in an official sense.

(Yeah, this is the area I’ll be talking to you from)

This blog will work towards giving varied, good quality content at constant time intervals. One may expect poems, pieces of writings, short stories, etcetera, etcetera. And for the topics, sky is the limit (technically no, we may talk about stuff beyond sky sometimes too, the stars, the vast expanse of space).
