A spicy twist on classic mac and cheese, this recipe combines the rich flavors of aged Gouda cheese with a kick of Sriracha sauce for a comforting yet fiery dish.
Ingredients: 300g macaroni pasta. 200g aged Gouda cheese, grated. 1 cup milk. 2 tablespoons butter. 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour. 2 teaspoons Sriracha sauce. Salt to taste. Pepper to taste. Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish.
Instructions: Cook macaroni pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add flour and whisk continuously for 1-2 minutes to make a roux. Gradually pour in milk while whisking to avoid lumps. Cook until the mixture thickens, about 3-4 minutes. Add grated aged Gouda cheese to the saucepan, stirring until melted and smooth. Stir in Sriracha sauce, salt, and pepper to taste. Add cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce, stirring until well coated and heated through. Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley. Enjoy your delicious Aged Gouda & Sriracha Mac & Cheese!
