This Grilled Garden Veggie Pizza will take your pizza game to a whole new level. The smoky grilled crust goes great with the fresh, colorful vegetables, making it a great treat for pizza fans.
Ingredients: 1 pizza dough store-bought or homemade. 1/2 cup tomato sauce. 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese. 1 medium zucchini, thinly sliced. 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced. 1 red onion, thinly sliced. 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 1 teaspoon dried oregano. Salt and pepper to taste. Fresh basil leaves for garnish.
Instructions: Warm up the grill over medium-high heat. On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to the thickness you want. Spread olive oil on one side of the dough and place it on a hot grill, oil side down. Grill the dough for two to three minutes, or until grill marks show up. Then, brush the top with olive oil and flip it over. Cover the side of the dough that was grilled with tomato sauce. On top of the sauce, put slices of zucchini, bell pepper, red onion, and cherry tomatoes. Cover with mozzarella cheese. After 5 to 7 minutes, cover the grill and cook for another 3 to 5 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese melts and bubbles. When you take the pizza off the grill, add salt and pepper to taste along with the dried oregano. Before serving, sprinkle with fresh basil leaves. Grilled Garden Veggie Pizza is delicious. Cut it up and eat it!
